Division 6 was a special program within Eve University to explore and reside in wormhole space. The program was set up prior to the release of the Apocrypha expansion in March 2009 by Wolf VanBerg. Pilots of Division 6 lived in wormhole space more-or-less continuously. At its height, the group included between 40 and 50 pilots.

During times of war all D6 pilots operated under the direct command of Fleet Admiral Silentbrick like the rest of the uni, with people and ships dispatched to k-space to help in the war effort as needed.

The group also spearheaded, scouted, and in part managed the Dynaverse wormhole POS Siege. We learned a lot during that operation -- ask us if you're interested, or look it up on the forums.

The program disbanded in February 2010, with many members moving on to form the corporation Everset Dropbears [EDROP]. They do not currently specialize in wormhole activity, but any former D6'er will talk your ear off about it if you ask.

The minimal skills list for D6 entry changed frequently and was an evergreen subject of debate within the group. In the last days of the effort, required skills included:

  • Astrometric Rangefinding III
  • Astrometrics III
  • Energy Emission Systems IV
  • Energy Grid Upgrades III
  • Engineering III
  • Hull Upgrades V
  • Mechanic III
  • Repair Systems II
  • Remote Armor Repair Systems IV
  • Salvaging IV
  • Science II

And the skills required to properly fit and fly one race's battlecruisers or battleships.

This list reflects the PvE techniques D6 tended to use for Sleeper combat -- remote-repair armor battleship gangs with battlecruisers for point defense.
