This is a list of known locations for piracy. Pilots are well advised to use extreme caution when entering these systems, or even better, find a way to avoid them altogether. This list is derived from the ongoing discussion thread in the E-UNI forum: http://www.eve-ivy.com/forums//viewtopic.php?f=31&t=5401.

Most pirate systems are located in systems with low security status ratings (0.1 - 0.4), and which are "choke points" along common traffic lines between trade hubs. A good way to identify potential piracy systems is to open your map (F10 key), then in your Map Control Panel go to Stars by Color / Statistics / and select "Ships destroyed in last hour". You will see if your destination waypoints go through systems that had recent pirates activities.
