The [http://tools.eveuniversity.org/apply.php Applicant Questionnaire] is possibly the most important step of the process outside of the initial application, {{Color|Khaki|the questionnaire form and our tool are only accessible via the in-game browser}} which you can access via the Neocom - Browser. <u>We may decide to reject an application based entirely upon what you include (''or fail to include'') in your questionnaire form</u>. It is essential that you answer all questions in full and as detailed as possible. Your application <u>will '''not''' be considered without a properly completed questionnaire</u>. Note that {{Color|Khaki|you will not be able to access your questionnaire form without first registering}}.

#To register, simply click on the "Register" link as shown below and follow the instructions given.

After you've registered and has access to the public sections of the discussion forums, the tool will display two additional options/tabs in the user interface, what you will have to do next is :

#{{Color|Khaki|Update your API information}} which you should already have in hand if you followed [[Applying_to_EVE_University_(step_5)|Step-5]] of the application process by clicking on the "Update API" tab as shown below and enter your limited API key (not the API v.2 key).

#{{Color|Khaki|Complete your questionnaire}} by selecting the "Apply" tab and submit it for review by a personnel officer

Once you have completed the questionnaire, you will be brought to the interview queue as shown below, you should also received an evemail response to your application within the next few days (should be within the next 24-48 hours depending on whether there are Personnel Officers available at the time), read it carefully.

To get an interview, you must join the automated queue system - the recruiters will determine the priority of the interviews based on your position (determined by when did you first joined the automated queue system) and other criteria such as the type of application.

*a. {{Color|Khaki|This is your position in the queue.}} Designed to order applicants by the date and time they first joined the queue. Essentially this means the queue operates on a first come, first serve basis and you may find your position affected should someone who originally joined the queue before you log in. Note that if you are re-entering after leaving E-UNI, this number will NOT be accurate and you may be called for your re-entry interview AT ANY TIME.

*b. {{Color|Khaki|This is your queue selection option.}} If you had problems fulfilling any criteria listed on the first part of this article, you would have to select the Senior Personnel Officer option and this text should show that you're currently queuing for an SPO interview.

*c. {{Color|Khaki|When the queue window is last updated.}}

You will have to fill out the questionnaire as detailed as possible (as described above) before you continue with the interview queue. Once you've submitted this information or by clicking on the "Apply" tab (only after you've finished your questionnaire and submitting them!) the tool will transfer you to the "Join" page at [http://tools.eveuniversity.org/joinQueue.php this link], where you select the queuing option.

You will be faced with four options which directly related on how your application will be handled by the Personnel Officers, as shown above.

*{{Color|Khaki|I am a new player applying for the first time}}, this should always be your choice, unless you're a returning member, has been through the interview shortly before and just needed to be accepted into corp, requires a Senior Personnel Officer's attention or otherwise told differently by our Personnel Officers.

*{{Color|Khaki|I need to talk to a Senior Personnel Officer}}, choose this option if for some reason you didn't fulfill the criteria listed in the first page, you have several concerns regarding your application, or if you have been notified that you need to speak to an SPO (Senior Personnel Officer).

*{{Color|Khaki|I am an ex-member of Eve University}}, choose this option only if you are a returning member who had previously been in the Uni.

*{{Color|Khaki|I am re-joining after sitting out a War}}, this option is reserved for [[EVE_High|Eve-High]] member who has not been accepted into corp yet, but has done their interview and their application has been accepted.

Please make sure that you choose correctly, incorrect choice may result in your application being delayed for processing or in some extreme cases, rejected outright.

Few things you should be aware of when you're queueing for an interview :

*{{Color|salmon|Never leave the queue window open when you're AFK!}} If you missed your call, it means that you have just wasted a Personnel Officer's time which could have been used for more important things. In short, if you're AFK, not at your keyboard or not actively engaged in playing the game, {{Color|Khaki|close the queue window or leave the queue}}, you will not lose your position! Just re-queue again once you get back to the game.

*{{Color|salmon|Join the queue only when you're ready and is currently watching for your name being called in the E-Uni Chat channel}}, instructions on how to join this channel will be explained in the next step (Step-8) of the Apply to Eve University procedure.

*Minimize (not close) the queue page and watch for your name being called in the public channel (E-UNI). You do not need to refresh the page as it is updated automatically. You can only join the queue from the in-game browser.

*Some personnel officers prefer to contact applicants directly, so look out for that. You should always check out anyone who invites you to a conversation before you accept; personnel officers will be EVE University members who have the "Personnel Officer", "Senior Personnel Officer", "Assistant Personnel Manager" or "Personnel Manager" title displayed on their character information window.

*{{Color|salmon|If you don't re-enter the queue after two weeks, it will erase your initial entry date and time.}} '''Log into the queue at least every few days to ensure that you don't lose your place.'''|solid}}

<br>

Interviews are generally quick chats to cover anything missed in the Questionnaire (Step 6), as well as offering advice and inducting you into the University (assuming you have been accepted). Please keep in mind that <u>Personnel Officers are volunteers</u>, giving up their own free time to help the University. They also play the game and pay for the privilege just like you, so please be patient.

=== How the queue works  ===

Our queue system is specifically designed to ''order applicants by the date and time they first joined the queue''. Essentially this means the queue operates on a first come, first serve basis and you may find your position affected should someone who originally joined the queue before you log in. On the plus side, this means you're under no obligation to wait in the queue for long periods of time, as your first join date/time will be stored and will place you appropriately within the queue whenever you log in.

The queue will remember your character name, so don't log in with a different character.

Please leave the queue whenever you are not at your keyboard and actively engaged in playing the game. There is no benefit to artificially inflating the queue line by being logged into it whilst not available for an interview, and should you be called for your interview when you are not present, you may be penalised (this can mean anything from simple removal from the queue, to a reset of your join date/time or complete rejection of your application in the case of repeat offenders).

'''Note:''' The automated queue system will only work via the in-game browser, so please ensure you are in-game when you try to join the queue and keep the window open - it will automatically remove you from the queue if you close it.

{{Box|#582806|Former members whose original interview was ''one month or more'' ago, and are ''not'' typical wartime re-entries, will also have to complete a questionnaire. Also note that {{Color|Khaki|you are required to update your API information into the tool}} before proceeding with the application process.}}
