As new players to Eve Online, and Eve University, we know that learning what to do in the game can be difficult. There is a lot to do in the world of New Eden, and it can be overwhelming at first.
Therefore, we have put together this list of suggested content that you might consider trying during your journey to this world. This is not a required list of content, and is meant to be just a guideline for you to learn some of the content that Eve Online has to offer yourself.
This checklist is also available HERE as a text file that you can copy and paste into your in-game notes, for quick and easy reference.
Newbro Checklist
- Start your AIR Career Program, but doing the Career Missions in the Agency . These are considered the Starter Missions and are broken into:
- Enforcer
- Explorer - Industrialist - Soldier of Fortune
- Add a Skill Plan to your Skill Queue.
This is a personal choice on how you want to play the game, but a recommendation to start would be the Frigate DD Skill Plan, found under the Corporation Plans in game.
- Upon completion of the Career Missions in your starter area, you could consider leaving there and heading to the Eve University Main Campus, which is located at Korsiki in the structure Horizon.
People often ask about what to do with all of their starter items and ships. Common advise would be to sell it all, and buy a Shuttle for a faster trip to Korsiki
- Set your Home Station, found in your Character Sheet, as Korsiki - Horizon
This will have you respawn in that station upon your inevitable and plentiful deaths.
- Start building your own fleet of ships by taking advantage of the University Flight Deck, found at Korsiki - Horizon under Contracts
These are beginner ships that you are free to use, make money with, and lose. Try out different ones and have fun with them. They are there to use.
- Join one of the many fleets offered by the University.
Found in Discord under events. Most of which are new bro friendly. Fleet Command (FC) will make sure you are in a ship for the fleet.
- Consider doing The Blood-Stained Stars Epic Arcs
This Quest will show you around the Eve Universe and give a boost to standing for your character.
- Start getting into the habit of completing your Air Daily Goals.
These are found under Opportunities menu and give you increasing rewards for completion.
- Take part in classes that are taught throughout the week on Discord
Eve University has a number of volunteers that hold classes throughout the week in various topics.
- Attend the Newbro Cafe found in Discord Events.
This is a weekly meeting geared towards new players were they get to introduce themselves and ask questions to a number of other experienced players.
- Take part in one of the weekly moon mining fleets.
Schedule is found in the Uni Auth and boosts or usually available via HQ Standing Fleet.
- Try a Sunday Gunday weekly fleet
PvE content in groups up to 10 players.
- Try a Stronghold Fleet
PvE large group content with up to 25 players. Great start for learning fleet mechanics.
- Try a T0 Abyssal
These are instanced contents with high risk and high reward, ranging from T0 to T6. Ships suitable for T0 are available in Korsiki Flight Deck.
- Try Homefronts
Small group PvE content. See their dedicated Discord Channel.
- Try Incursions
Larger group PvE content. See theeir dedicated Discord Channel.
- If interested in small gang PvP considering visiting the Low Security Community (Discord Channels Available) and introduce yourself.
This is our LSC (Low Sec Community) where there is often combat engagement, Faction Warfare, mining, exploration and other content.
- Learn about or try the different fleet roles
There are a number of different roles available, given the fleet. A few of the more common one are DD (DPS), Logi (Healer), EWar (Debuff), Scouting (Content Finders) for the starters.

This is where you can seek more specific advance on areas that you are interested in. Be sure to read the rules on how it works.
