Eve University Incursion Fleet Role: Picket.

1. You are a Brand New Pickets Pressed in to Service. (I need info right now!) 2. You want to prepare to Pickets to be for the next opportunity ((Link to proper wiki pages))

Understand: you need reliable clear voice communications in Mumble you will be well paid. you will need to the focus area and pay uninterrupted attention for several hours you may only take your eyes from the screen for a few seconds if you must be Away From Keyboard, you MUST give the fleet commander notice

Take your bio break now. Get a big glass of water and perhaps a snack. Hurry. Haste is rewarded.

a. Request someone forward the Incursion Notification Email. Set the Suggested Station hotlink as destination. Use “Safest Route” to avoid Low Sec.

b. Locate the closest Shuttle ship and buy it: Caldari Shuttle, Amarr Shuttle, Minmatar Shuttle, or Gallente Shuttle. Buy the ship quickly.

c. Undock and immediately start rapid warping to your set destination. Jump, jump jump! Log in to the Incursions channel of Mumble while flying. Ask questions while traveling.

d. On arrival, request a fleet invitation and your assigned a gate. From the home station, jump through that gate in to the neighboring system. You may be in space or in a staion, at the Fleet Commander's discretion.

e. Stretch the Local Chat Window until it is tall and thin. In the settings buttons immediately under the local chat window title, the icon with three heads has menu item “show compact member list.”

• If a war target shows up in local, immediately call out "Break! Break! War target!". Repeat if necessary until the fleet commander acknowledges.
• If you see an individuals with terrible standing (-10) report to the commander without "Break Break" and without urgency.
• If you see groups of gankers flying catalysts, thrashers, hecates, vexors, taloses, tornadoes, stealth bombers or similar ships report to the commander without "Break Break" and without urgency.

You can sit docked in a station to picket. Ideally you should sit 200 km from the gate to see passing ships and still being able to warp back to the gate

Pro Tips:

When the Fleet Commander asks “Pickets in Position” reply promptly “(your name) in position.” Drag the system name from the upper left corner of your screen in to the fleet window. Hit return.

Every time the fleet commander says “Drones In”, types something like “Picket still awake!” in the fleet chat window.

If anyone asks you a question, reply promptly. Show you are paying attention.
