The Straevaras Family
Oratio Straevaras belongs to the third generation of the Straevaras family, whereas the first generation is marked specifically by family members Lordius, Pythaezuyen, and Dvoryin. Dvoryin, however, is not actually part of the bloodline but well accepted into the family nonetheless. The second generation of the Straevaras family consists of Xaimon and Uxeric. Oratio is the son of Xaimon and Enya Straevaras, born into the bloodline and third generation of the family.
Since the youth of Lordius Straevaras, the family has been inflicted with a curse given by a sorceress that Lordius knew better to cross in the first place. His audacity and her malevolent heart resulted in a perpetual curse to be passed down through the bloodline, until Lordius' death. However, she added a caveat to the terms by cursing Lordius so he would not die until all his offspring's life were extinguished. Therefore he has been granted immortality, but at a tragic price.
Pythaezuyen has also been inflicted with a curse as well, being haunted by prophecy even in his dreams. The symbolic nature the prophetic dreams tortures Pythaezuyen into even not knowing the full meaning of the prophecies himself. Some nights his sleep is little to none due to these disturbing and recurring dreams.
Every other curse passed down the family bloodline is significantly different. Every curse has a portion of it which appears to be a gift, but has a detrimental cost to it.
Oratio Straevaras
Oratio is of a young age, currently only 22. In his young age, he has not yet determined the curse that has been passed down to him through the Straevaras bloodline, as it was plagued by a sorceress in Lorius' youth. Oratio hasn't noticed anything humanly unusual, and has often wondered if he has been blessed by the curse skipping over him in the generation.
Raised by Xaimon and Enya, Oratio has come to resent his father. His father often harbored a cold heart against Oratio, commonly indulging in his mercenary ways, using his curse for the benefit of finding odd jobs and whatever lose ends needed tying up. Oratio, oppressed often by his father, took on a heart of kindness, and despises the suffering that humans beset upon themselves due to pride and avarice. He seeks to promote the commonwealth of the people around him, supporting love and prosperity.
Employment History
University of Caille
- Timeline - From 2010.02.22 05:28 to 2010.02.24 12:06.
- Notes - Shortly residing in the University of Caille, Oratio spent his time here completing the missions given by the tutorial agents give him the jump start into becoming a capsuleer.
Black Bands
- Timeline - From 2010.02.24 12:06 to 2010.03.11 06:14.
- Notes - Left the University of Caille in hopes of furthering the expedition to become a more experienced capsuleer through the Black Bands corporation. During the time in this corporation very little experience was acquired due to actually being a part of the corporation and there was hardly any benefit from being a part.
Eve University
- Timeline - From 2010.03.11 09:15 to 2010.04.21 18:41 and from 2010.10.17 09:24 to 2011.04.25 00:51.
- Notes - Decided to leave the Black Bands in efforts to search greater knowledge of becoming a greater capsuleer and sought to join Eve University to do so. Initially joined the corporation but only attended one or two classes before dropping off for quite some time. The total effective time within the corporation likely summed up to less than a week, even though the employment record indicates over a month of time in the corporation before being declared MIA. Now current back within Eve University, I'm striving to learn something new every time I log in and attempting to find where my niche is.
Future Corps
- Timeline - From 2011.04.25 00:51 to this day.
- Notes - It was my time to move on and find the next adventure, deciding to go live in W-Space with Future Corp.

UniWiki Work
I am only starting to get my hands dirty in the UniWiki. Wikis are wonderful mediums of information and can be very powerful. My goals for aiding in the maintenance of the UniWiki is to help organize many of the topics that are strewn throughout and add useful content to pages that already exist. Hopefully I'll also be able to contribute new pages of content to the wiki as well as my time in E-UNI progresses.
Pages I have contributed to:

I enrolled into the Ivy League Navy on November 6, 2010 into Battlegroup 1.[1] Upon joining battlegroup one I was to be immediately enlisted into the training squadron of Battlegroup 1 which is know as the Lambs. This is the period in time where I was a Midshipman in the ILN trying to get my basic combat skills up to par.
I graduated from the training squadron and become an Ensign in Squadron 1 Battlegroup 1 on December 8, 2010. Since then I have been running with the Black Sheep when the opportunities present themselves, and have started to work into leadership positions, such as being a squad commander and commanding my first fleet.[2]
On December 26, 2010 I was officially selected as the N-7 Training Officer for Battlegroup 1, therefore promoting me directly to the rank of Lieutenant Commander within the ILN. Since then I have been striving to improve the Battlegroup's training program and ensure that new recruits have the foundational knowledge that is expected of an Ensign within the ILN. Assisting me officially in this capacity is Sam Seraph, who has indeed been an invaluable aide to the job.
On March 28, 2011 I stepped down from the N-7 position in looking to seek future endeavors in EVE. Replacing my position was Sam Seraph himself.
Wormhole Club
On October 27, 2010 I was given the opportunity to run a C3 Wormhole Op with members of the Wormhole Club as a Salvager. This was a massive learning experience even as a Salvager, as I didn't have some of the equipment needed to salvage all of the wreckage at the sites. The op also helped me get an idea of what is to be expected from actually running a WH op by killing the sleepers for money, and how much money can really come out of doing a WH op. From that point on Memoocan extended an invitation for me to join the Wormhole Club.
Since then I have learned many things about Wormholes, especially what to look for, what to do, and what not to do. I learned a valuable lesson that cost me my Catalyst Salvager. I was scanning for wormholes in the ship and entered one only to find a fleet of Drakes on the other side. I panicked and didn't bookmark the Wormhole or think to try to jump back through (I had tried initially but didn't move to remove the cloak and then click jump). I learned some valuable lessons from this experience, and managed to get out with the help of cloud910st.
Several days later I went scanning for Wormholes to run again (in a much more appropriate ship) and found a C3 Wormhole that I thought we could run. However, I really didn't know what I was looking for and had a long conversation with cloud910st about what I should be looking for and what I shouldn't be doing when looking for it. I learned a massive amount from the conversation and have uploaded it to the link below for the learning experience of others.
On November 25, 2010 I ran a wormhole op in a C3 bringing along 4-5 DD, a salvager, and one other scout to help picket other wormholes in the system. One of the fleet mates generously also brought along his two other alts, so his three toons covered all three roles in the WH Op at some point (salvaging, scouting, and DD). This was a successful op and we did not have any encounters. It was actually my first time being an FC, as well as successfully calling a fleet for a WH op, so the experience in that was valuable.
