| Bates joined EVE online on 6th December 2012. He was interviewed by the lovely [[User:Laura_karpinski|Laura Karpinski]] on 19th December 2012 and joined EVE University.

| Bates then decided to volunteer as a [[Personnel Officer]] and he also joined the [[Amarr Mining Campus]] and the [[Wormhole Campus]].

| Bates became a [[Personnel Officer]] on 23rd March 2013 and he was promoted to Senior Personnel Officer on 23rd May 2013.

| On 3rd August 2013 he was ninja'd into becoming an Assistant Personnel Manager to [[Rose Chanlin]], and was put in charge of the recruitment and training of new Personnel Officers.
