I decided to introduce rank system, to allow everyone to know and understand what's the proficiency of other members. That way you don't have to guess, try it out, or run lower tiers (well, you still can) - you know in advance that other pilots are proficient in specific Tier/Role. It will change in the future, so don't be too attached to it :)

Rank marks the Tier that you are currently aiming to run:
 +
* Calm noun - pilot is running Solo T1s. To promote, you have to be confident in T1s, be able to run them solo and have proficiency in recognizing spawns.
 +
* Agitated noun - pilot is running Duo T2s. T2s do not require 3 pilots, and do not require FC role - you run in 'tandem', where one pilot takes the aggro, and the other follows calls. Preferably - swapped after every room, so everyone gets spooked euqally. To graduate you need 50 runs completed, and you have to feel confident enough :)

Halsky's Hands-on Hawks, the best[1] pilots west of The Citadel, grinding Abyss in Caldari Frigates, earning Dank ISK - do you want to try?

What is that?

Idea

HHH is my (Chris') solution to 'Triple Hawks Conundrum':

  • You need cohesive team of pilots to run efficiently - you can't take 3 random pilots to T6 and hope it will be ok
  • Small team is very susceptible to RL tackle - small group of pilots will have issues finding time to fly

My idea is to 'create' larger group of people, where any 3 of them can form up successful team to run T5/T6 Abyss in Hawks. There's more to that (read it well, or just ask me), but that's the gist of it. I want everyone to be able to fly Hawks in T5/T6 :)

Fit

Will be linked here. Hawk, LMLs, about 75M ISK.

How it works?

Joining

Everyone can join. If they meet requirements - and there are two sets, Hard and Soft.

Hard requirements:

  • Omega clone. We are running Hawks, no exceptions.
  • Reasonable Abyss experience. You need to be able to run T1 Darks in Hawks by yourself.
  • Reasonable Skills. T2 LMLs, T2 Tank - that should be easy, max skills will come later.
  • Mumble is absolutely necessary. Get used to it.

Soft requirements: These come from my limited 'trust'. Since the expectation is that older players will fund (at least partially) failed runs of new players, some level of trust is required :)
I want one of:

  • Sophomore title. That says something about you engaging with Uni, and that's what I want to promote.
  • Being know Abyss runner in Uni. If I know you from #abyssals, it's enough.
  • Vouched by existing member(s). I don't know everyone, and if current members will tell you're good, you're good :)

Rules

The most important rule - Run! Run as much as you can!

We'll figure the rest as we go :)

Taxes

The is tax.

What, why, how?
I want to 'spread the risk'. There will be kill rooms. There will be disconnects, and there will be pilot mistakes. I want everyone to be able to learn in quite safe environment, without worrying (too much) about having funds to buy another 10 ships. So I decided to impose 10% tax on all loot collected.

Of course - it's all based on trust, I can't check what you get from runs - but I have high hopes.

Ranks

I decided to introduce rank system, to allow everyone to know and understand what's the proficiency of other members. That way you don't have to guess, try it out, or run lower tiers (well, you still can) - you know in advance that other pilots are proficient in specific Tier/Role. It will change in the future, so don't be too attached to it :)

Rank marks the Tier that you are currently aiming to run:

  • Calm noun - pilot is running Solo T1s. To promote, you have to be confident in T1s, be able to run them solo and have proficiency in recognizing spawns.
  • Agitated noun - pilot is running Duo T2s.
  • Fierce noun
  • Raging
  • Chaotic

How to progress?
Super easy - just tell me you 'graduated' one rank up, and I will mark it :) I trust you.

Transparency

Since I want to tax your runs to pay for any expenses, I also want to be super transparent about it. I will keep (reasonably) up to date log of ISK flow available for all members. At least I'll try, and we will see how it goes :)
