In April 2015 CCP changed their policy on Alliance logos, as summarised in their Dev Blog: ALLIANCE LOGOS & YOU - SUBMISSIONS RE-OPENED!.
Consequently, EVE University ran a competition to design a new logo for their Alliance, Ivy League. The winning logo was designed by Janton Raudhir and Jurius Doctor and the final result (after editing) was the current Ivy League logo:
We have preserved the other submissions below for posterity. Number 2 was removed from the competition due to similarities with the SHIELD icon.
