+ | Hi - I noticed last year you moved a number of articles to their plural. This is usually not a good idea, as it forces you to rename links. For example, if you were to say "The rupture is a cruiser" you would have to link it as <nowiki>[[Cruisers|cruiser]]</nowiki>. This gets very annoying and tedious. However, the converse is easy: eg "All gallente cruisers are slow" can be written as <nowiki>[[Cruiser]]s</nowiki> and the compiler will correct the link. Can you please explain the reasoning behind your change to those pages? Hi! I noticed that you moved the Contract page to Contracts. I agree that this is a good idea, but I was just wondering if you knew about the "move page" function? It's in the little drop-down menu next to "View/Edit/History", and it allows you to move a page (i.e. change its title) while preserving all the edit history. Don't mind for this case, but maybe in future it could come in handy? Cheers, Noemie Belacqua 13:47, 1 December 2016 (CST)
Plural page titles
Thank you for harmonising the page titles for singular/plural page titles. However, once you've moved a page, could you please go through all the pages which redirect to the "old" name (by clicking on the "What links here" link in the sidebar) and correct them? MediaWiki can't handle "double redirects" (i.e. a redirect page which redirects to another redirect page). Thanks! :) – Noemie Belacqua 07:58, 5 January 2017 (CST)
3rd party User Talk
Thanks for the great advice! As I'm sure you figured out, I have never used a wiki. I'm am a refugee from the print industry so this is all new to me. I fixed the "make all changes minor" setting and I'll definitely start using the preview button instead of saving, I was totally not even thinking about how annoying that would be. Thanks for taking the time to say hey. I appreciate it. I'm a big fan of the work both you and Noemie belacqua do. When I get situated and am more experienced with wiki oops I'd like to pitch a hairbrained idea or two your way.

Wormhole Ore Sites
Hi Djavin, could you please elaborate on the deletion of all the information regarding WH-Ore sites? --Christoph patrouette (talk) 19:56, 10 April 2017 (CDT)
Adding combat anomaly reference table to CBMSite template
Hi Djavin,
I came across this {{Combat Anomalies|Blood}} template on one of the pages and thought that would be something we could add to the "monstrous" CBMSite template?
It would look nice as a footer to the pages.
What are your thoughts on this idea? --Jean inkura (talk) 13:09, 9 June 2017 (CDT)
Page titles should never be plural due to wiki limitations
Hi - I noticed last year you moved a number of articles to their plural. This is usually not a good idea, as it forces you to rename links. For example, if you were to say "The rupture is a cruiser" you would have to link it as [[Cruisers|cruiser]]. This gets very annoying and tedious. However, the converse is easy: eg "All gallente cruisers are slow" can be written as [[Cruiser]]s and the compiler will correct the link. Can you please explain the reasoning behind your change to those pages? Telinchei Talk · Contribs 04:47, 26 July 2017 (CDT)
- When I first started editing the wiki, some articles had singular titles, and some had plural. In an attempt to harmonize articles titles, I changed the singular titles to plural because that's what felt most intuitive to me.
- There are redirects for the singular version of each plural article title, so [[Cruisers|cruiser]] isn't actually necessary – [[cruiser]] would work just as well. -Djavin novienta (talk) 10:05, 3 August 2017 (CDT)
