Ersin Oghuz (talk | contribs) m (→Loot) |
(Updated the information about the fourth site to be less alarmist, more informative/concise, and more up-to-date. Added a part asking for minimum tank requirements and stating that reinforcement numbers may vary. Also added that the Madcat stash can give no loot. Talk page created.) |

+ | |||
+ | This last site is not time-sensitive, though it can be time-consuming if you do not bring something that can tank the high DPS or snipe the three Madcat Frigates from afar. Once the three Madcats are killed, the container unlocks. The loot can be anything from Metal Scraps to the usual array of faction modules. | ||
+ | |||
+ | The Madcat Frigates are effectively a DPS check, as they boast high passive shield regeneration, strong 90% armor resistances, and strong armor repair. Fortunately, you do not need that much DPS (at least 180) to kill them if you pull them away from the site, though more is always better. | ||
+ | |||
+ | For clearing this site, there are three approaches: bookmark chaining to kite, sniping, or tanking. | ||
+ | |||
+ | For the first two approaches (kiting/sniping), all you have to do is warp in, then warp out to the sun (or somewhere consistent) after creating a bookmark. Then, you warp to your bookmark at the site at 100km, and then create another bookmark so you are now 200km from the site. Depending on if you are kiting or sniping, you may be able to stop here and pick off the 5 Sentry Guns who can do a fair amount of damage up to 250km. However, if you can't, then you'll need to repeat the process one more time so you're 250-300km from the site. Then, you'll need to warp into the site at 0, tag an enemy once (or more, depending on your fit and tank), and then warp out to your bookmark at 250-300km. Provided you managed to shoot an enemy, they should aggro and begin moving toward you, even if you temporarily break the lock via warping to 300km. For the Madcats, this process won't take very long thanks to their MWDs. For the other rats, however, this can be a time-consuming process if not using a ship able to hit 100-250km (such as a cheap Railgun Naga, for example), as their speed is a painful 300-500 m/s. | ||
+ | |||
+ | Once the Madcats are dead, you can warp straight to the cargo container for the loot, and then leave. If you're unlucky, you'll only get a single Metal Scrap. If you're lucky, you can receive Coreli A-type modules. | ||

As the dust disperses, you receive a transmission from someone claiming to have had some rather intimite relations with your sister and that he is waiting for you a few jumps away, to see what you are going to do about it. Despite the fact that you have no sister that you know of and the guy sounds like he has been drinking more than just Quafe, you feel a certain temptation to go and see what this is all about. |

Single room

---|---|---|---|---|
4 x Frigate Serpentis Madcat |
One of the Madcats will stay behind. Killing it can trigger escalation. Attacking it triggers first spawn.
The Madcat is difficult to kill, uses MWD and has active shield and armor rep and small signature (~500 DPS HM Tengu was not able to kill it (possible if you manage to keep it at range (pressing E all the time) - the wreck was empty!)).
If you are unable to kill the Madcat he will eventually warp away.
A group of Serpentis ships (named Guardian Angels) spawn to defend the Madcat. Each pair of Guardian Angel ships will spawn a new reinforcement wave. Last ship killed will trigger Spawn 2.
Scarcity Update: This site, like other cosmic signatures, contains ore.
- As of 1st March 2021 the site contains large amounts of Hedbergite & Hemorphite, with smaller amounts of Omber, Kernite and ores found in high sec. The ore spans a crescent shape of 120km across and is therefore impossible to scan with a single survey. It was estimated on approximately a third of the belt scanned that ISK value at current prices would be 2.5-3b. Note that if the site is left by all players it may despawn, but leaving one player at all times within the site will retain it in space for mining.
- As of 3rd March 2021 the only asteroids showing on overview at the site were Scordite and Veldspar. Very disappointing.
- As of 15th of October 2021 the site, once again, contains only large amounts of Scordite and Veldspar.
Escalation message: |

It seems like you have the choices of staying here and getting murdered by the Angel babysitters, or you could try to jet out and see if the lock you have on the rest of the brats is any good... |

Killing reinforcement 3 triggers massive enemy wave. These ships will close in very quickly and will web and point. You will not be match for them.
The ships have special types: "Temko Interceptor", "COSMOS Gallente Commodore", "Cosmos Gallente Elite Frigate" and "Cosmos Gallente Captain". They were easily able to overpower a Vargur with 1700 ehp/s tank.

Serpentis Madcat: That's it! You have the audacity to enter the proximity of our Pleasure Resorts! I can't lose face in front of the girls inside ... I mean I can't let you get away with that! ... Prepare to die, pest.
Your computers pick up distress signals being sent from somewhere in the area. Perhaps this indicates that more enemy ships may be incoming soon. Whatever you're after here, you should probably make haste before you are overwhelmed. |
This last site is not time-sensitive, though it can be time-consuming if you do not bring something that can tank the high DPS or snipe the three Madcat Frigates from afar. Once the three Madcats are killed, the container unlocks. The loot can be anything from Metal Scraps to the usual array of faction modules.
The Madcat Frigates are effectively a DPS check, as they boast high passive shield regeneration, strong 90% armor resistances, and strong armor repair. Fortunately, you do not need that much DPS (at least 180) to kill them if you pull them away from the site, though more is always better.
For clearing this site, there are three approaches: bookmark chaining to kite, sniping, or tanking.
For the first two approaches (kiting/sniping), all you have to do is warp in, then warp out to the sun (or somewhere consistent) after creating a bookmark.
Once the Madcats are dead, you can warp straight to the cargo container for the loot, and then leave. If you're unlucky, you'll only get a single Metal Scrap. If you're lucky, you can receive Coreli A-type modules.

Killing rich kids may be lucrative, but when they have an army of hard core Guardian Angels to hold their hand like this, it can be a bit troublesome. These at least will have enough to talk about in their luxury clone bay tonight, wherever that may be. |
