The {{T|T}} template does not work with the namespace added. <nowiki>{{T|Cleanup}}</nowiki> {{T|Cleanup}} works but <nowiki>{{T|Template:Cleanup}}</nowiki> {{T|Template:Cleanup}} does not. It apears that the template namespace is build in in the T template (Hovering the mouse cursor over the non working link gives Template:Template:Cleanup). Looks like we will still need a test/sandbox template in the template namespace to test that. Does not mater much for the template itself. This is a scratch area for templates. If you want to change this template, you may wish to check the history to see if there are any edits in the past few hours. If not, feel free to replace the contents of this template with your own tests.
It seems like you often have to save a template, rather than simply relying on the preview.
Topic: Candidate for deletion by User:Arin Mara on 1 February 2021
My arguments against deletion of this page in no particular order:
- When modifying an existing template it is a good idea to not do that in production.
- It can be handy to have a place where you can do some template experimentation without making unnecessary template pages.
- Not really an argument against, but maybe the purpose should be clearer if this one was named something like Sandbox, conform the "play" area for content pages.

- You can build a templates on your own sandbox pages. For example I could make the template on User:Hirmuolio_Pine/sandbox3 and then use it on User:Hirmuolio_Pine/sandbox4 with the normal template syntax {{User:Hirmuolio_Pine/sandbox3}}. Hirmuolio Pine (talk) 14:27, 1 July 2021 (UTC)

- Well, I just found something that does not work. The {{T}} template does not work with the namespace added. {{T|Cleanup}} {{Cleanup}} works but {{T|Template:Cleanup}} {{Template:Cleanup}} does not.
