'''Purpose:'''

Unless otherwise specified, this page should not be seen as official or reliable.
1. A starting point to learn Eve-Onine. This lesson plan aims to give players time for SP and IRL-skills growth that apply to multiple areas of the game while making ISK in relative safety and doing an easily accessible activity (able to do solo, not constrained by time or other people joining)

2. Be a jumping-off point for moving to Null-sec or other more risky ventures

Introduce players to activity. Teach them how to start doing the activity. Provide paths to learning.

2 ways to run Abyssals
+
=== Prerequisites: ===
1. Lazy way: T0 in frigate/T3 in cruiser --> Orbit chache, kill everything
+
* Finish AIR introduction with Career Agents
    - Good if you don't really like Abyssals (blasphemy but remember that it's illegal to kill newbros)
+
* Join Eve-Uni
    - Good if you want a quick solo activity for some ISK
+
* Set up Mumble
    - Good while you are still figuring out what you want to do in Eve, those first 20M using buyback feel amazing as a new player
+
* Set up Discord
    - Good if you are happy to be poor
+
* Join Forum
 +
* Join in-game chats (which ones?)
 +
* Set up Uni overlay
 +
* Attend/Watch Eve-Uni CORE Career class & CORE Skill Planning class

2. The learning way: Make your way up to solo T1/T2 in a frigate move on to T5/T6 in cruiser
+
=== Mechanics to learn: ===
    - Good if you want a deep understanding of core skills and PvE concepts
+
* How to use the Uni overview
    - Good if you like Abyssals (very IRL friendly)
+
* How to use contracts to get T0 ships/filaments
    - Good if you like boat-loads of ISK (Bling-Gila isn't gonna buy itself)
+
* How to use Jita alt to get to market for upgrades/more filaments
 +
* How to use Uni buyback & Hauling services
 +
<br>
 +
* How to safely engage in Abyssal Deadspace activity

Community building ideas

Some further thoughts on community building:

Have competitions for:

   - fastest completion time
   - Highest tier reached in ship-type, solo/group
   - Flying suboptimal fits to show player skill
   - Use competition fits for runs or use your own in two separate categories
   - Highest cost/reward ration category

Use competition to create a community that's both learning together to get better results, make ISK along the way and have fun all at the same time.
Try to get our own money vault to fund competition fits and prizes
Also, save my disaster runs. Have players stream (if possible) intentional mistakes and how to fix them. Often in tutorials they only show what to do, not what to do if you make a mistake
