Rewording of opening section
CO-SIG has been discussing some low hanging fruit that might smooth out the onboarding process for new Unistas, one of the things we identified is that currently it is common for us to receive an Auth application as well as an in-game application. The in-game application doesn't impact anything, but from time to time we go through and reject them all (with a link to follow the process on this page instead), but this could cause confusion where the user has already done that. The below is a redrafting of the opening section of the page that specifies that an in-game application is not required amongst some other changes (amongst some other minor wording changes):
EVE University [E-UNI] is the oldest and largest in-game corporation specifically designed to train new players. We offer regular classes, fleets, and events as well as free ships and a variety of other services to help new players experience everything EVE has to offer. Our only mission is to help new players learn as much as possible, to prepare them for a successful career in one of EVE's many other player corporations. You can read more about what we offer here.
If you are looking to join EVE University, please follow the full procedure below. This will get your application entered into our queue and ensure you have access to our Discord. Please complete all steps to avoid delays with your application, once your application has been processed by a volunteer you will receive an in-game invitation. There is no need to apply in-game, these applications will be ignored and/or rejected.
Please only apply with the main character you wish to join EVE University on. Information about adding alts to EVE University can be found at the bottom of this page. Katiga Hakomairos (talk) 10:59, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
