Role: The Task Force Commanding Officer (CO) is expected to be fully able to lead and command fleets, and provide leadership in times of war. The commanding officer has ultimate authority over the operations of their Task Force, and is given wide latitude to run the unit as he/she sees fit within the bounds of established [[War Time Policy|Wartime rules and procedures]] and direction from the Admiralty. In this respect, Commanding Officers have significant responsibilities within the [[Ivy League Navy]] and [[Eve University]] to supervise the recruitment and training of Task Force personnel and maintain general combat readiness within their Task Force. Task Force Commanders carry the rank of Captain and with it authority to initiate a security [[Lockdown|lockdown]] at their discretion.  

Role: The&nbsp;Task Force Training Liaison is an ILN Officer who has been appointed by the Task Force Commanding Officer&nbsp;with approval from the Admiralty. The Training Liaison is&nbsp;responsible for developing and scheduling training events, competitions and operations for the Task Force. The Training Liaison works closely with the&nbsp;Education Department of the University&nbsp;to identify training needs within the&nbsp;Task Force&nbsp;and provide training opportunities for both basic and advanced combat tactics. This may be accomplished by arranging classes and live events, as well as other avenues of education. The Training Liaison is responsible for encouraging attendance and making sure an appropriate After Action Report is filed for every&nbsp;Task Force sanctioned&nbsp;activity.<br> <br>Sends weekly reports to the&nbsp;Task&nbsp;Force&nbsp;CO and XO on matters concerning training, training events, operations and competitions.

Role: The Task Force&nbsp;Diplomatic Liaison is an ILN Officer who has been appointed by the Task Force Commanding Officer with approval from the Admiralty. The&nbsp;Diplomatic Liaison&nbsp;is responsible for reviewing all After Action Reports and Killmail data to determine potential diplomatic concerns. The Diplomatic Liaison works closely with the Public Relations/Diplomatic Departments of the University to discuss possible solutions to&nbsp;incidents, and&nbsp;provides vital information that is used in determine the setting of standings for individuals, corporations, and alliances. The Diplomatic Liaison may also serve as a representative of the ILN during times of war with war tragets in the absence of&nbsp;a University Dimplomat.<br>  

The Logistics&nbsp;Liaison sends weekly reports to the CO and XO regarding resupply needs and donations.  

Role: The ILN Officer is any pilot in the University who has decided to dedicate themeselves in defending the ILN and the University, and has passed the [[Joining_the_ILN|Officer Advancement Process]]. An ILN Officer is responsible for providing a continual flow of information, training, and practical fleet experience&nbsp;to their fellow ILN Officers, as well as the University. To accomlish that, ILN&nbsp;Officers are required to serve as either a Squad Commander, Wing Commander, Fleet Commander or Scout&nbsp;a minimum of three times per month. An ILN&nbsp;Officer may also choose to instruct fellow ILN Officers and University members in a PVP-focused class or training session a minimum of three times per month. ILN Officers are not only permitted, but encouraged, to have provide any combination of fleet&nbsp;and class training, provided they meet the minimum standards. There is no maximum limit to how often an ILN&nbsp;Officer gives back to their community. The Squad Commanding Officer position is used to develop the leadership skills of up-and-Coming fleet commanders under the watchful eyes of the Battlegroup Command Staff (CO, XO and N-Officers).&nbsp; The Squad Commanding Officer works closely with the Battlegroup Command Staff to recruit and train Squad personnel and maintain general combat readiness within their Squad.<br>
