The Libold system was once designated as a Frigate Free For All system for EVE University, when the Headquarters were still in Aldrat. This meant that any EVE University Tech 1 frigate in that system was fair game for PVP.

The idea was that members could go to Libold if they wanted some fun frigate PVP practice or action, with the hopes of having someone always looking for a fight sitting there.

Rules

The rules were:

  1. T1 Racial frigs only. No faction/pirate or T2 frigs.
  2. NO PODDING
  3. No smartbombs (see rule 2). Any other fitting is allowed (T2, faction, officer, etc. subject to any wartime rules in effect)
  4. Loot is up for grabs. Don't fly what you can't afford to lose.
  5. Dock when WTs enter the system.
  6. There is NO 6!
  7. No teams ganking solo people. Pre-arranged 2v2 or 3v3 are fine for fun.

What about other ships? Shuttles, noobships, faction frigates including ORE's Venture, Tech 2 frigates, industrials, cruisers, etc. are not participants and must not attack or be attacked, unless you have arranged it beforehand. Any killmails in Libold involving non-participant ship types must have a legitimate explanation or face disciplinary action.

Recommendations

The recommendations were:

  • Have a scout or picket to watch the entry for wartargets or watch Local.
  • Create Instant Dock and Undock bookmarks for each station.
  • Create as many On and Off Grid Tactical bookmarks as you can stand.
  • Create several unaligned safe spots.
  • Keep several pre-fit frigates in Libold. Meta 0 fittings are available from the Aldrat Alpha hangars.
