Before your fleet you should make sure you have done some one time preparations, specifically bookmarks and scouting. I would recommend staying within one jump of Aldrat, and probably not mining in Aldrat itself as it gets picked over quickly. Visit the surround systems and each belt in a fast ship that can take care of rats, a frigate is ideal for this, and make your bookmarks. (Make sure to equip your ship with a survey scanner). Visit each belt in the system, bookmark spots in each belt that allow your fleet to clean out the belt. You will likely need 2 of 3 for any belt. Take in to account the max range for the miners, if you have an Orca and all boosts a strip miner is 23km. Some belts will have a few rocks way out of range; bookmark those spots as well. You may want to make notes on the general composition of each belt, both quantity and the type of rocks.
There are some one time preparations that should be preformed before you fleet up, specifically bookmarks and scouting. My recommendation is to stay within one jump of Aldrat, however, mining in Aldrat itself is probably not worth it as it is picked over very quickly. Visit the surround systems and in each belt create your bookmarks, you may need 2 or 3 bookmarks for each belt to ensure that you have complete coverage. When placing your bookmarks take in to account drone travel time and max range of lasers. Some belts will have a few rocks that are out of the main area, you will want to bookmark a spot there as well. I would recommend doing your bookmarking in a Frigate that is equiped to deal with rats and has a survey scanner.  You may want to take notes on the general composition of the belt.

I have broken the section in to four sections, Pre-Fleet, Formation, Operations, and After Action. Do not be afraid to cancel the op at the Formation phase, if you don’t have what you need. Make sure that someone has some drones for rats, light scout drones work just fine.
