Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) are the central component of an Insurgency.
Features
Forward Operating Bases are similar to Upwell structures, except that the only features that FOB offers are tethering, docking, and fitting. All other structure services are disabled. Pirate FOBs are the target of the Zarzakh shipcaster, allowing members of Pirate Insurgencies to teleport directly from Zarzakh to the Insurgency systems.
Mechanics
Forward Operating Bases are invulnerable under normal operations. However, they can be made vulnerable when the Empire factions achieve their Ambition goals for the Insurgency cycle. Once made vulnerable, Forward Operating Bases may be attacked.
Upon destruction the Insurgency ends in an Empire victory.
