EVE University’s Low-Sec Community (LSC) plays in Faction Warfare for both, Amarr and Minmatar. We engage in plexes and battlefields to allow Unistas to become familiar with Faction Warfare mechanics and content. Whenever possible, we also encourage to play with their respective militias, allowing Unistas to experience working alongside established Faction Warfare groups. We believe this approach provides a strong learning environment and offers Unistas their first opportunities for outreach and interaction with the wider player community.

EVE University's Rules of Engagement apply in all faction warfare scenarios. Our efforts are aimed towards NPC Content.

However, Faction Warfare is a dynamic environment with things we can guide through, and some things we need to work around. In the following sections you find information and guidance.

=== Battlefields ===
Battlefields are a lucrative high end FW content. Next to running the usual plex sides, we do encourage to run or participate in battlefields to gain experience and earn LP. For this, our '''EVE University Doctrine LLA (LSC Light Armor)''' is considered to support this game play as battlefields are also played strategically on grid and need to shoot NPCs and may, at the same time, defend the battlefield itself.

==== The term "Seagulling" ====
However, Battlefield of course are shared content with the wider community and so, has also some habits. Good and bad. While Battlefields are very lucrative, it is very easy to get the payout, which created a term called "Seagulling". You don't need to actively participate to earn the LP and just warp in and get LP payout by sitting there and doing nothing in a small, even unfitted ship, like a frigate. Our Unistas are not allowed be a seagull and should bring an appropriate ship to a battlefield to participate in the fight against the NPCs. Keep in mind, battlefield are not a "new player" content and is considered advanced, does not mean its not accessible.

If someone is in the battlefield before you, reach out to those players and most players react friendly and open. However, when you are kindly ask to warp off, you warp off.

=== Satellite/Nomad Offices ===
Faction Warfare can be very dynamic. To have both Militias, Minmatar and Amarr, served from our HQ, with its full services like Buyback, more advanced ships on contract, fleets and other things, it is important to us to keep our HQ in Isbrabata a Frontline System. This is a core task of our Unistas. However, it's Faction Warfare and things can change anytime, which makes actually Faction Warfare a nice territory game.
