Djavin Novienta
Djavin Novienta is a Wiki Curator and Orientation Officer, a Teacher for EVE University, and the Cariest of Bears.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the game or Eve University, if there is a class you'd like to see offered, if there is a wiki article that needs editing, or just to say hello. I can usually be found in the Student Lounge on Mumble, but you can also contact me in-game via Evemail or on Slack, if you have access.
About My Roles
Wiki Curator
It is my job as a Wiki Curator to make sure that the UniWiki is as accurate, comprehensive, and easy-to-use as possible. I both write new articles and edit existing ones. My particular areas of expertise are Amarr ships, missioning, combat summaries, and general editing/revising. The UniWiki is Eve University's service to the greater Eve community, and so Wiki Curators strive to increase the value of that service as much as possible.
Orientation Officer
Orientation Officers have the role of introducing new members to Eve University once they have been accepted. Where Personnel Officers are the intake specialists of the University, Orientation Officers serve as the face of Eve University to most students. We reach out to new members to ensure that they are settling in smoothly, and to provide them with relevant information. We also act as a contact point for a members' first few weeks in the corporation, to answer any questions and point them in the right direction. If you have questions about how the Uni operates, how to find your place in the Uni, or anything Uni-related, you can contact me or another Orientation Officer. We're here to help.
Teacher
Teachers at Eve University, like all other Uni staff, are volunteers who give of their time to educate both Uni members and non-members. All of our classes are open to the general Eve community, and our class calendar is also publicly viewable. If there is a class that you would like to see offered, we encourage you to request it in the Class Request thread on our forums. Do keep in mind that, because all of our teachers are volunteers, there may not be a teacher with the relevant experience to give a particular class right away, but we do our best to accommodate class requests, so as to provide the best educational experience possible.
About Me
I started playing Eve back in 2011. I played for about 2 years, then took a long break, and returned to Eve in the fall of 2016. Because almost none of my friends from years before still played, and because so much of the game had changed, I chose to join Eve University, and have decided to stay indefinitely. As long-term goals, I hope to become CEO of Eve University and to have a seat on the CSM.
The Cariest of Bears
I dislike PvP and avoid it at all costs. Most of my "gameplay" involves fulfilling my duties as an Orientation Officer or Wiki Curator, and I embrace this wholeheartedly. I have a particular problem with nullsec culture, and Eve "bittervet" culture as a whole, and I am a staunch advocate of learning and living primarily in highsec. That said, I will never discourage a new player from pursuing their fortune where it can best be found. Someday, I hope to become CEO of Eve University and to have a seat on the CSM.

To Do
If you see something on here that you would like to work on, please feel free to do so. Not everything on my to-do list is something I'm capable of fixing at the time I add it to the list, so assistance is always appreciated!
Ships
- Re-classify/label rookie ships as corvettes:
- Reference EVE client for Transport Ships description formatting.
Mining
Modules and Fitting
- Paladin/Fittings - Currently only one fitting (geared toward missions). Find fitting for C5 wormholes.
- Add sample Incursion fit to Nightmare/Fittings
Module Stats Tables
- Templates to control the formatting of
- Item tables
- Item tooltips
- External website to output code (but leave formatting up to the MediaWiki templates)
- Website also outputs a comment to tell users where to find the code generator, and a unique string to allow them to replicate the same output, but with updated parameter values
Exploration & Scanning
- Verify accuracy of information in Jovian space, then revise.
- Add general description of difficulty levels of Category:Cosmic Anomalies found in wormholes, with new subheading
Missions & PvE
- Add NPC/combat tables:
- Blood Den
- Blood Haven
- Blood Hub
- Blood Raider Forsaken Hub (also check name, may be "Blood Forsaken Hub")
- Blood Raider Forsaken Rally Point (also check name, may be "Blood Forsaken Rally Point")
- Sansha Den (also needs cleanup/improvement)
- Sansha Forlorn Rally Point
- Sansha Hidden Den
- Sansha Port
- Serpentis Den
- Serpentis Forlorn Rally Point
- Serpentis Forsaken Den
- Serpentis Hidden Hideaway
- Serpentis Yard
- Guristas Epic Arc
- Create:
- Blood Raider Prison Camp
- Guristas Hidden Hideaway
- Sansha Military Operations Complex
- Individual mission pages for Epic Arcs
- Verify name of Cosmic Anomaly:
- Link NPC Damage Types to faction listings in missions
- Add Sansha's Nation branch of Amarr Epic Arc - Right to Rule
Faction Warfare
Drones
- Add stats/attributes to Shadow
Tanking
Templates
- Template:CMBSite/Template:CMBSiteBox should be greatly simplified. They attempt to do way too much, and don't allow for customization within other articles. Just a customizable CMBSiteBox would be preferable.
Core Game Mechanics
- NeoCom
- Revise "Main Eve Menu" section.
- Obtain/add current pictures of NeoCom menu to replace old/inaccurate pictures that have been removed.
- Obtain/add missing NeoCom icons.
- Loyalty Points - Revise "Skillbooks from Loyalty Point Stores" section to match with rest of article.
- Bookmarks - Get new pictures that reflect new UI. Don't want to remove inaccurate pictures until new ones can be added.
- Add dotlan links to regions names in System Security
New Players
- Merge Exploration combat sites for new players into appropriate article, or revise/delete
General Cleanup
- Decide what exactly to do with Category:JenLooMiningTaleContest
- Replace manual internal skill links in Skills and Learning and subpages with Template:sk links
Lore
- Possibly move The Caldari Financial System from Eve Wiki, and replace external link on:
- Create:
- Chronicles (a meta overview of Chronicles and their role in Eve lore)
Completed
- Paladin (base page only, fittings need to be reviewed)
- Removed redundant information and "Development" headers from all ships.
- Removed all deprecated Evelopedia links
