Loot is found inside the dead ships. You must approach each ship within 2K meters and "open cargo hold." The hold may be empty, but it may contain various items that you can drag to your own cargo hold. After the mission you will then have a bunch of items that you can sell or reprocess. Depending on the item, it can be more profitable to sell than reprocess or vice versa. (A handy tool to help decide what to do is [[Eve_Refinery|Eve Refinery]].)
