Colony Under Fire is an expedition found by completing the Serpentis Military Complex signatures. It contains four parts, each of which will be 4-8 jumps from the previous system, in null sec space.
Walkthrough
The first 3 parts of this escalation are quite easy, but the 4th part can be somewhat challenging.
Part 1
Access: Gateless, Open Access
In the first room you find a warp gate. Killing the NPCs allow usage of that gate to the second room. You might have a Shadow Serpentis spawn in the first room. Killing this triggers an escalation. If it is not there, going to the second room and killing the scout can trigger the escalation.

Clues within the wreckage of the ship hint at where it's from: another Serpentis station. More an outpost than a station perhaps, but it is a pure military outfit, not a regular colony. |
Part 2
Access: Gateless, Open Access
This part is pretty straight forward. Clear the site of NPCs, aggress the station, kill the Shadow Serpentis and get out.

Escalation message |

Again you let your scanner comb the remains of the station and the ships, looking for clues on this alleged raid, and before long you are holding a log listing the second rally spot and as far as you can see, the raiding parties have already departed form here and two other stations and are supposed to convene within the hour. If one of the raiding parties was supposed to come from the Serpentis station you destroyed originally, you have already managed to diminish their forces somewhat. |
Part 3
Access: Gateless, Open Access
Kill the Shadow Serpentis spawn in the first room to triggers the next part of the escalation. If it is not there, going to the second room and an approach the beacon for the escalation.

Escalation message |
---|
A fixed guidance beacon sitting here all alone.. you examine the thing and discover its guidance system points to a place not too far away. Perhaps that is the space trucker station? In any case, that is the only clue you have to follow, if the pirates have ever been here, they have gone already. |
Part 4
Access: Gateless, Open Access
This can be quite hard. The first 3 waves spawn on a 4 minutes timer. The third wave have a Relay Commander, killing this spawn the Relay Wave. Killing the second Relay Commander spawns Black Ceasar and his followers.
You want to clear each wave before spawning the next wave.

Black Ceasar has been torn to pieces, and the Serpentis have scattered back to the darkness from whence they came. |
Attacking the Trucker Gate spawns a defensive wave. This offers nothing except the bounties - so there is no reason to attack the gate.
