The daily login rewards are small rewards for logging in each day. Each day's set of rewards become available at server downtime, that is, at 11:00 EVE Time.
Alpha accounts receive one randomly-selected item from a range of drugs, blueprints of minor value, filaments, and temporary ship skins, and a small amount of skill points. Omega accounts receive more skill points and a slightly more valuable drug, blueprint, filament, or skin.
Once claimed, daily login rewards can be redeemed using the Redeem Items window. Items from login rewards can be redeemed to your hangar in station, if you're in a station. Items can always be redeemed to your designated Home Station even if you're in space.
Drugs can be redeemed from the same window, but rather than appearing as items in a hangar, their effects are immediately applied to the character. Drugs powerful enough to have side effects have a chance to apply their side effects when used from the Redeem Items window, just as they would have a chance to apply side effects when used from a hangar or cargo hold. The skills Biology, Neurotoxin Control and Neurotoxin Recovery affect these drugs just as they affect other drugs, and Biology I or II might be required to take some of the drugs earned by Omegas.
The skill points, which for most players are the most valuable part of the rewards, accumulate until they reach a total of either
- 150,000 points for Omega characters
- 50,000 points for Alpha characters
In both cases this amount of skill points is accumulated after 30 days. At 150,000 points (Omega), or 50,000 points (Alpha), the player can claim a skill point injector from the Redeem Items window, and inject the points as with any other skill injector. Over time these skill points can add an edge to a character's skill training speed.
Previously accumulated skill points do not disappear if the player fails to log in on one or more days. They simply do not accumulate.
When CCP are running a special limited-time event with daily login rewards, the normal daily login rewards still remain available as well.
