As the dust disperses, you receive a transmission from someone claiming to have had some rather intimite relations with your sister and that he is waiting for you a few jumps away, to see what you are going to do about it. Despite the fact that you have no sister that you know of and the guy sounds like he has been drinking more than just Quafe, you feel a certain temptation to go and see what this is all about.

One of the Madcats will stay behind. Killing it can trigger escalation. Attacking it triggers first spawn.

The Madcat is difficult to kill, uses MWD and has active shield and armor rep and small signature (~500 DPS HM Tengu was not able to kill it (possible if you manage to keep it at range (pressing E all the time) - the wreck was empty!)).

If you are unable to kill the Madcat he will eventually warp away.

Loot will be available within a jet-can marked as the Madcat-Stash, however, this will bring you into range of sentry guns which when killed, spawn further waves of NPCs.

A group of Serpentis ships (named Guardian Angels) spawn to defend the Madcat. Each pair of Guardian Angel ships will spawn a new reinforcement wave. Last ship killed will trigger Spawn 2.

Scarcity Update: This site, like other cosmic signatures, contains ore.

  • As of 3rd March 2021 the only asteroids showing on overview at the site were Scordite and Veldspar. Very disappointing.
  • As of 1st March 2021 the site contains large amounts of Hedbergite & Hemorphite, with smaller amounts of Omber, Kernite and ores found in high sec. The ore spans a crescent shape of 120km across and is therefore impossible to scan with a single survey. It was estimated on approximately a third of the belt scanned that ISK value at current prices would be 2.5-3b. Note that if the site is left by all players it may despawn, but leaving one player at all times within the site will retain it in space for mining.
  • As of 15th of October 2021 the site, once again, contains only large amounts of Scordite and Veldspar.

Killing reinforcement 3 triggers massive enemy wave. These ships will close in very quickly and will web and point. You will not be match for them. The ships have special types: "Temko Interceptor", "COSMOS Gallente Commodore", "Cosmos Gallente Elite Frigate" and "Cosmos Gallente Captain". They were easily able to overpower a Vargur with 1700 ehp/s tank.

Serpentis Madcat: That's it! You have the audacity to enter the proximity of our Pleasure Resorts! I can't lose face in front of the girls inside ... I mean I can't let you get away with that! ... Prepare to die, pest.

Your computers pick up distress signals being sent from somewhere in the area. Perhaps this indicates that more enemy ships may be incoming soon. Whatever you're after here, you should probably make haste before you are overwhelmed.

Despite the warnings, leaving the site, reshipping and finishing it was possible. This was done in a timeframe of about 45 minutes, without killing any ships except the Madcats. It is possible that the Reinforcement Wave only spawns after the destruction of particular NPC ships, more testing is needed.

Killing the three madcats frigates unlocks the container. This container can contain multiple Coreli A-typ DED modules.
The Madcat frigates have very high passive shield regeneration (150 HP/s), active armor tank and MWD. The stats for the Madcat can be found here. Kinetic damage is best against their shields, the armor has 90% omni resist with full (800HP) repair every 10 seconds. This means you need to do at least 950 dps or do enough volley damage to punch through the armor. Damage application is also an issue against their small signature radius (48m). This stage is best attempted with some friends, either a small group of high DPS frigates (to avoid most of the room damage) or some cruiser sized ships and up with application (TP/web) and / or logi support. High alpha snipers with application support can also work, in which case a fast / tanky frigate buddy is recommended to pick up the loot.

Escalation finished:
Killing rich kids may be lucrative, but when they have an army of hard core Guardian Angels to hold their hand like this, it can be a bit troublesome. These at least will have enough to talk about in their luxury clone bay tonight, wherever that may be.
