The Basics/Introduction
The basic mechanics of how this works are explained in the following 2 articles:

If you are lazy (like me) and didn't read those 2 fantastic articles above, a quick explanation of how this works:
Your EVE account shares the same redeem queue among all of your characters, so when your newly created alt character finishes the AIR Career programs and earns the SP, it can be redeemed by your main instead. Once you get all the SP that you think is worth a while to get, then your biomass (delete) that alt, rinse and repeat.
While many other methods exist out there for biomass farming, my version is not intended for EVE veterans who want to do skill farming, because it is not the most effective in terms of SP per hour. However, it has several advantages for the new bro:
- This biomass circle is intended to run solo
- Requires relatively little upfront investment
- Can be done semi-afk
- Great time killer for a new bro who doesn't want to deal with Uni's war declarations (but you will face it and be fine with it soon, trust me, I have been there, there is no escape from PVP in EVE)
My goal is to help out new bro who is a parent (like myself), or someone who has time but is fragmented (like a parent), to fast track their progression in the game so they can jump into their designed content quicker.
Expect to spend about 3 days per biomass circle, this includes some downtime, which is why this is not the most efficient way of doing it, but you can expect to spend about 8 hours of semi-Active/semi-AFK playtime, plus about 4 hours of semi-AFK/full-AFK. The 3-day circle time is due to Project Discovery having a daily limit of 20 runs per day, but you need 50 to get all 130 AIR points. So you can twist my plan to finish this in a day, but then you have to be pretty lucky or get creative to figure out ways to make up for those points.
This method relies on the Free AIR Expert system, once activated, they only last 7 days, so once you start, it is recommended that you finish one biomass circle within 14 days. I will explain why later.
The Setup
Before you can start, your main should have already finished one set of Career Mission and the Sister of EVE Epic Arc. So you:
- Have some isk to spend to set up things (you should have a minimum of 20M after 1 set of Career mission + SoE)
- Know how those mission runs as they took the bulk of your time, the better you are at running them, the faster this can be done.
Once you are ready, go look for an AIR Career system that you find convenient. You can see the list of the systems in this article (https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Career_Agents), since the HQ is in Caldari space now, you may want to choose from 1 of the 3 Caldari Career Agent systems.
The chosen Career Agent system will then be your stage system. and your future alts will be in the same faction of your chosen system, while this is not a must, if you don't do it this way:
- Your newly created alt will have a long way to travel to your new stage system
- You will run into issues on flying the ship you have in your stage system when your expert system expires
Prepare the following ships and get them over to the NPC station in that Career Agent system:
- Venture
- Take a T1 Venture from Uni's Flight Deck
- If you don't know what Flight Deck is, check it out here: https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Flight_Deck
- Tristan
- You can just take a Flight Deck Abyssal Tristan T0 and modify it, or:
- Just buy from JITA or any major trading hub, just don't get ripped off in a random station
- Just make sure you have a Micro Warp Drive + 3 Drone Damage Amplifier, the rest can be however to make the fit work
- A scanning frigate
- If your career system is in Caldari, which I recommend, then you can take out a Flight Deck Heron.
- If not, just buy a corresponding one and fit it with a Small Gravity Capacitor Upgrade, Probe Launcher, and an MWD
- A salvage frigate
- This will also follow the same scanning ship choice you had above but fitted for salvage, from my 11 biomass run, I find it more effective this way, but this is optional
- Algos
- Take out a PVE one from Flight Deck
- Shuttles
- Just buy a couple
- Trasher
- Use the Tech 1 SOE Epic Arc fit
- Just buy the whole fit from JITA, it costs less than 5M
- Make sure you buy a bunch of Fusion ammo
- This is the only ship that will be parked outside of your stage system, but near Dagan, this ship is meant to take out Dagan
The Run
This method heavily relies on the Expert system to skip the training needed and provide the DPS needed to go through the missions. All Expert Systems provide drone skills, and drones will easily carry you through all of Tristan's career missions (hence the choice for Tristan). If you didn't save the Expert system from your main, your first time may be a bit slower, but once you get it going, it will be pretty smooth.
1st Run (assume no Expert System saved from main)
Compared with the real run below, the only difference here is when you activate the Expert System, you should activate one to help you get started, but since you don't have one. You need to complete the Explorer Career missions first without any Expert System, then get the Explorer Expert system, activate it, and then do the rest.
You may also choose to save the Civilian modules and the Gas Cloud Passkey from the 1st run, and then you can go through them into your Tristan or Scan ship to make your subsequential runs a tiny bit faster.
