Build a Praxis
"Action follows form. Form follows thought. We have thought deeply on the shape of the future. The forms have been established and now is the time to act."
Ok, ok, we know it, stop with that religious mumble. Can't you see we have a customer here?

Hello, Dear Capsuleer! Welcome to Halsky's Industrious Conglomerate, H.I.C.. We are provider of Galaxy's finest selection of mediocre engineering services, unsolicited advice and bad writing style!
As I can imagine, you've come here to participate in out "Build a Praxis" program!
[[Much faster] It's not actually build, we'll just help you with fitting, and it will be probably bad, we do not take any responsibility for losses [Returns to normal voice]
The first step of building a Praxis is... Fat Wallet! Haha, it was just a joke - at first step you need to choose what kind on Tank you would like to have. Since Hull tanking is for real, tough, hardened pilots, you can pick from:

Tank is the first choice when fitting a ship - usually. Some ships have preferred tank, some can be tanked either Shield/Armor, some both - you can use 'wrong' tank in some cases :)
Ship choice - Praxis is... weird ship. It's not the best ship for specific things, but it can do a lot of different thigs kinda ok, so it's best to do "Build a ...." on Prax :) I tried to make fits very close to each other, so refitting between different weapons is as cheap as possible, and even between tanks requires change of only 1 rig. What tank you should pick? Shield - my preferred, and probably the better one for PvE (I'm assuming you're fitting for PvE) - as it leaves more Low Slots open for DPS modules. Praxis is suffering from lack of CPU to properly utilize it though, that's why you will see Co-Processors later Armor - also nice, it leaves more Mid Slots for utility modules. Uses more PG and less CPU than comparable Shield tank, but works good enough. Thing to remember - Armor reps are done at the end of module cycle, so start them earlier than Shields In general - my aim was to get 600 EHP/s max, 400-ish EHP/s sustained with good skills - even without them, it should be enough for most L4s if you're careful. Be careful please :) |
