Description

This template is used to indicate that the current page may soon be deleted. Pages may be marked for deletion if they are no longer relevant or are of limited utility.

Syntax

Type {{Deletion}} at the top of the page.

Sample output

{{Deletion}} produces this banner:

This template is a candidate for deletion. Reason: No reason was given.

Optional descriptor

Type {{Deletion|<Example reason given>}} at the top of the page.

Sample output

{{Deletion|Request of author.}} produces this banner:

This template is a candidate for deletion.
Reason: Request of author.

Putting this template on a page also adds it to the Candidates for Deletion category.
