The Blockade

Objective Eliminate the leader of the pirates blockading the stargate. You will be informed when he has been dispatched, his demise should disperse the pirate gang eventually.

Mission briefing
Pirates have set up a blockade near a hidden stargate in Ivar, and are swarming over any passersby, which are mostly merchants and civilians. Pirates tend to create these temporary blockades at ill-defended stargates, usually ones which have been set up by civilians and are not guarded by our forces. But we still have an obligation to protect the citizens of Odengsolf. Therefore I want you, Erwin Madelung, to fly to the stargate and eliminate the illegal blockade.

Declining a mission from a particular agent more than once every 4 hours may result in a loss of standing with that agent, except in the case of special missions that clearly state otherwise in their description.

Tip:
A good Explosive resist tank and MJD is recommended. As with all Blockades the mission starts with one tight group including a stasis tower, followed by 4 spawns, triggered by certain ships. The waves are picked randomly out of a pool of several types of waves. The trigger ship is hard to document as it varies with the type of wave you get. The waves spawn in groups so you should observe the spawns you get and try to spot a unique battleship in one of the groups. This is most likely the trigger.

Optional Approach:
1) Maintained optimal range and used Titanium Sabot for targets between 50- 100km and then EMP for targets under 50km. Since everything aggro as soon as it spawns use that to your advantage especially when in a gunboat. Pick off the smaller vessels first and then take out the Battleships. 2) Sniper fit may warp to preferred distance and bookmark it. Kill the Stasis Tower first, then the spawns as they approach starting with the web/ scramble Frigates. Slow boat away from the Stargate if needed. If NPCs swarm, warp to one of the structures in the pocket. Again kill the spawns while kiting them, if needed warp to your bookmark. Repeat. This way the mission is doable with a minimum tank (300 dps angel specific tank is enough if you kill real fast).
