Removal of SOCT and Triglavian Ships from Pirate Faction Ship Overview
A few weeks ago, you filed an edit to the Pirate Faction Ship Overview, which removed information on ships from the Society of Conscious Thought and the Triglavian Collective.
I believe the information on these ships should exist on this wiki, and so I ask you a question: If this information does not fit on the Pirate Faction Ship Overview page, where it was originally, Where should it go in stead? Because I partially agree with your "not considered pirate faction ships" reasoning, but I don't immediately see another (preferably commonly accessable) page where that information should go. - All the information are on Triglavian Collective and Society of Conscious Thought. I made sure that no information was lost. Most was redundant anyways. Be also aware that Pirate Faction Ship Overview is an overview. As such the section about those ships were much too detailed. The details should go on the corresponding pages. The SoE ships for example are too detailed on the overview page (112 words) while they could use some love on their factions page (129 words). In the end all those ships are very specialised though and the most care should be given to the spefic ship page. The amount of text for the astero seems good. The stratios and nestor are very short. (It's abviously not about the length in words but it's the easiest way to quickly demonstrate my point.) In general the nature of those three ships is very different although the very similar bonuses might suggest otherwise. The other pirate faction ships aren't that different. I only picked SoE as an example. cheers Erwin Madelung (talk) 14:12, 23 November 2019 (UTC)
- Ooo yikes you're right, the main racial pages are a bit short... Well there's a few new directions to go in for my next week of editing. Arexand Oskold (talk) 14:57, 23 November 2019 (UTC)
Transforming The Mouthy Merc
First of all, thanks for your work on fixing the unfinished imports.
I saw your edit on the The Mouthy Merc mission, and I have a few tips.
- Filling in a well known faction will automatically fill in the default damage, saving some typing.
- Mercenary did not do that, it did only Mercenaries, but I have updated the templates and it now works.
- When all damage types are involved you can use omni or all to get graphics of all damage types and the text Omni. I don't know if that would have been useful here as the order is different - Omni
- I saw you used separators for the different waves. Individual waves deserve their own table. The separator is more intended for when a wave has several groups in different positions.
- When starting a line with a space (as used in Tags to be looted) the parser makes that a <pre> and that is configured to be inside a dashed line. To avoid that a table with an indent could be used. Coded as :{|, which gives:
Tags to ....
tag 1 tag 2
Or of course the default unordered list *, but I think you avoided that on purpose. -- Evon R'al (talk) 15:51, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
