Salvage Research
Ashes of Tumur extremists have attacked a research facility. Salvage wreckage to secure Encrypted 'Istina' Data before the site's reactor explodes and they are lost forever.

In-game Opportunities page lists 15 minute time to complete, but the actual time limit is 20 minutes

Combat sites found in empire space. Operation takes place in deadspace pocket with an acceleration gate that will allow: T1 Frigate (including Navy and Faction), T1 Destroyer (not including Navy or Faction), and Ventures

You land in the middle of a field of wrecks around a large (decorative) destroyed structure. There will be a random collection of hostile frigates and destroyers and a Data-hackable Malfunctioning Werpost.

Hostile ships will focus on a single ship at a time and occasionally switch targets as a group.

Hostile ship info:

  • Atgeir Thrashers: immediately switches to shooting drones if launched
  • Atgeir Rifter: probably also switches to drones (not confirmed)
  • Blight Wolf: jams and deals damage
  • Blight Talwar: jams and deals damage
  • Skald Burst: remote shield repairs

Malfunctioning Werpost:

  • Gold hack (always?)
  • Uses a Triglavian disintegrator type weapon with spooling damage, targets one hostile ship at a time and switches targets after a time (1-2 mins?)
  • Does not do enough damage to get through the reps of 4 Skald Bursts
  • Transmission from Field Commander Sarva Burman: "Ashes of Turnur just attacked one of our covert research facilities and its core has become dangerously unstable. Salvage all the wreckage to recover Encrypted 'Istina' Data before everything goes boom."
