Dust 514: 101st The Screaming Leporids
The 101st "The Screaming Leporids
The 101st is the first division created in Dust University. It was formed to meet the need for mercs with a desire to excel in corporation battles. It's current commanding officer is Dennie Fleetfoot.
History
Kevall Longstride/Dennie Fleetfoot saw the need for a more dedicated division of mercs within Dust University and formed the 101st. The word leporid means "rabbit or bunny". As the number of mercs in D-Uni and the 101st grew, Death Scyhe took it upon himself to write up a proposal for organising/directing the 101st. This was approved and he was given the title of "Commanding Officer". Death went to work right away restructuring and organizing the 101st.
Rules and regulations
The 101st follows the standard Ivy rules as well as the following because of their focus.
1. Members should form squads of 2 101st members and 2 regular newer members whenever possible.
2. Should show up for Corp Battles when possible but not required to do more than 2 in a row.
3. Will use chain of command in all things. (Battles, reporting problems, etc)
4. Will not hold position in 101st over any general Uni Members.
5. Understand that while in a high stress environment as a corp battle, that language may sometimes slip more than in a pub battle. If anyone goes too far, they will be reported to the chain of command.
7. While Militia fits are tolerated, we will be going up against superior geared enemies and would just be feeding them. We need shiny gear to fight shiny gear. Tactics can make up for about 50% of gear but if you need 2 members to take 1 opponent down constantly, better gear is needed.
8. Voice Communication is a MUST. You have to know how to use it and be willing to use it. It will be vital for relaying information on the battlefield. If you don't have the hardware to do this, you cant be in the 101st. If you do and don't know how to use it, then feel free to ask.
9. AAR's (After Action Reports) must be posted after a corp battle fought by the 101st by the team leader or squad leader if the Field commander isn't a member of the 101st. This can be in addition to one filed by a non 101st member so we have multiple views of the battle. 101st members should be as thorough as possible in their AAR’s
10. Remember that you are one of the public faces of D-Uni. Keep this in mind with all interactions with other players.
11. While you are a member of the 101st, you are entitled to playtime for yourself. While general rules of D-Uni still apply the specifics of the 101st do not. Remember to balance your personal time with your professional time to avoid burn outs. If you are taking more than 1 day for yourself though, please inform the C.O.
