EVE University Chat Channels

EVE University maintains a number of channels which are used for various purposes. Members are NOT to create channels ending in .euni or .E-Uni

Default Channels

Alliance	Used only for important broadcasts and fleet forming. Limited to IVY League members only.	Directors
Corp	Used for requesting skillbook reimbursement and items from the hangar, as well as for asking EVE University related enquiries, questions about fleet formation procedures etc (see The Rookie's Guide To Fleet Ops first). Limited to EVE University members only.	Directors
Local	Broadcast channel to everyone in system. Usage must be in-line with the EVE University Rules	None

Official Channels

Public Channels

These channels are open to the public, and people are only banned from them in the event they become a nuisance.

Classroom4.E-UNI	A public channel for classes given by teachers and guest lecturers.	Directors, Managers
Diplomacy.E-UNI	The channel used for third parties to contact EVE University Diplomats.	Directors, Diplomats

Passworded Channels

These channels are open to all current EVE University members, and also past EVE University members who maintain a positive relationship with EVE University. They are password protected, and the password is posted in this forum thread (accessible by current members and alumni)

Industry.E-UNI	A channel to discuss industry, including mining, research, production and marketing.	Directors
Missions.E-UNI	A channel to discuss agent missions, including the Epic Arcs.	Directors
Solitude.E-UNI	A channel to discuss Project Solitude, including arranging activities and events.	Directors, Managers
Class.E-UNI	A channel for EVE University only (so non-public) classes given by teachers and guest lecturers.	Directors, Managers
Events.E-UNI	The channel for organising official EVE University events.	Directors

Private Channels

These channels are restricted to IVY League members only and cover some of the more secure parts of EVE University. Obviously, access to these is not required for the vast majority of players who are not currently in EVE University.

Restricted Channels

These are staff channels for EVE University for discussions within various departments. The vast majority of EVE University members will not have access to them as they are accessible only by staff members.

Event and war-related mailing lists may be created in addition from time to time. Check the forum or Alliance mail for details. As a general guideline, mailing lists share names with their chat channels. Rules for establishing new mailing lists are the same as chat channels, officially named and suffixed ones should only be created by Uni leadership to ease issues of long-term maintenance.
