Users will find the cache and settings folders, rename/move both of them in order to save them.  Restore the saved versions to the appropriate version location after a major client crash in order to reset your client preferences and settings.

How to back up Settings

To keep these settings and preferences for future use or backup, users can make a copy of the cache and settings folders. Locate the folder based on the system below.
