Cleaned up article, corrected some mistakes, edited the relevant section in the Scouting page to agree with this one. Kivena (talk) 10:15, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
The character Nyctef significantly chopped my original contribution down, deleting why the cloak trick is useful, what the cloak trick is, and relevant information regarding the fact that hitting the mwd after the cloak works.  He also introduced a confusing statement that when you drop cloak you will be at "near align speeds" rather than "near-warp speed."  He also introduced several grammatical errors.  I've undone his edits and reverted this post to it's original form. - Dooobles.

:Actually, the information you say I deleted was added to the first paragraph. "Align speed" is a term I've heard and used a lot (meaning 75% of max speed), while warp speed could be confused with the maximum speed attainable during warp (like 3 or 6 AU/s). I'm not sure about the grammatical errors; maybe you could elaborate on those. Anyway, I'll leave it alone for now. Nyctef 18:37, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

I have never heard anyone use the term "align speed..." everYou can align to an object at any speed.  I see your history of editing other people's pages from your user pageI feel you consistently remove anecdotal advice that may be helpful for new players and that's why I restored this page to the state it was before your editsIf you're not ADDING something to my pages please leave them as they are unless you can back up and document that there is mis-information or have additional information to add.  I'm not trying to be a jerk, I appreciate your effort to improve things and the articles you created yourself on the ORE ships are niceUnless something is blatantly outdated you should confer with the original author before editing if possible, no one "owns" wiki pages but it is considered polite to consult with people who created the articleAn example of your grammatical error would be saying "an MWD" in your revisionAn is used only before words starting with vowels, I know it's not a big deal but it irritates me to find it on a page I originally authoredI also make grammatical errors, no worriesI appreciate your effort and cooperation, thanks man.  Dooobles Sept 24, 2010.

The basis of a "Wiki" is an encyclopediaInformation put out in a way for others to find easily.  I don't know of any encyclopedias that contain 1st person narratives in them.  I suggest your 1st person details "Here is the straight deal from the Dooobles" be removed.  Also, Wiki articles should not use slangIt should be precise and to the pointI suggest removing the "(Porgue!?)" and the "(Do WuHat?)" as they do not conform to Wiki article context.  Thirdly, you explain that "There is a lot of misinformation on the forums and in-game about the 'cloak/MWD trick.'" If this is the case, you need to provide sources to prove your case, instead of basically saying 'Hey, I'm Dooobles and I am right.'  I understand that you want to keep your work and have credit for it, but you don't need to splatter your name over the article to do soReaders can check the history and see who maintains the pageThat is my $0.02. Minor edit: Nyctef's use of "an" could be correct in a certain contextIf you internally say Microwarpdrive when you see MWD, you would use "a".  However, if you pronounce it internally as the letters (M-W-D), you would use "an" to create a pause between your article and the acronymSo you both are correct in that case. --==September 28th, 2010== The basis of a "Wiki" is an encyclopedia. Information put out in a way for others to find easily. I don't know of any encyclopedias that contain 1st person narratives in them. I suggest your 1st person details "Here is the straight deal from the Dooobles" be removed. Also, Wiki articles should not use slang. It should be precise and to the point. I suggest removing the "(Porgue!?)" and the "(Do WuHat?)" as they do not conform to Wiki article context. Thirdly, you explain that "There is a lot of misinformation on the forums and in-game about the 'cloak/MWD trick.'" If this is the case, you need to provide sources to prove your case, instead of basically saying 'Hey, I'm Dooobles and I am right.' I understand that you want to keep your work and have credit for it, but you don't need to splatter your name over the article to do so. Readers can check the history and see who maintains the page. That is my $0.02. Basta kindred 06:16, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Minor edit: Nyctef's use of "an" could be correct in a certain context. If you internally say Microwarpdrive when you see MWD, you would use "a". However, if you pronounce it internally as the letters (M-W-D), you would use "an" to create a pause between your article and the acronym. So you both are correct in that case.
