Savage Moon Society

Savage Moon Society [SAVMO] is an independent (no alliance) corporation based in J223650 (class one wormhole) in the Anoikis. Originally intended to be my own solo paradise, I still somehow at one point had over 40 Capsuleers in my corporation at one point. The corporation now is mostly inactive, aside from myself and an AUTZ guy that does PI. Our headquarters has a lone N110 static wormhole which always guarantees us a random highsec exit, so when the sites in the C1 are all complete, we dip out into k-space for more traditional ratting and escalation sorts of content within empire space. (highsec and lowsec.)

Personal Details

I've been a Capsuleer since April of YC117 (2015) and I slogged through what was recommended to me on Eve Online's forums; the tutorials and then run the SoE epic arc. I completed all of those things playing very casually in about three weeks off and on again and then without any idea of what to do or direction to go - I randomly warped to a Serpentis Hideaway in Arnon and got a pop-up notification for a Serpentis Narcotics Warehouse. A local Arnon resident helped me along and I sort of 'job shadowed' her as we went through FW lowsec to run the 3/10. We got like the best possible drop and a Daredevil BPC. Beginner's luck I guess!

As a new player I had over 100 million ISK already and wanted more. I started my own exploration corporation and left my rookie corporation after throwing all of my belongings through a wormhole that led to a place called Aridia. According to the sites I found locally, these were Blood Raiders rats and according to the official wiki of the time, Evelopedia, the Hideaways would escalate to Blood Raiders 2/10's which were supposed to be soloable for new players.

I must have run 50 hideaways in my Thrasher before charting my findings but I started to wonder if Evelopedia was possibly wrong. After getting a control group of 50 Blood Raider Hideaway sites I presented my findings in a post on the Eve Online forum with statistics and a claim that maybe the site doesn't actually escalate. Some like 7% of the sites did yield a faction rat at the end but that was it. It caused a great debate and I felt like this was perhaps my actual hook to Eve Online. Felt like real exploration and science and while I tried to do all my research and findings I met other players - some good some bad - and I just was completely amazed by the overall experience.

Evelopedia is gone now but not before I tried twice to become an ISD that officially edited the Evelopedia. Eventually I found myself here on Uniwiki and my goal is to help maintain it and keep it relevant so we're not linking dumps of Evelopedia and Eve-Survival to new players that were written years before I played and can no longer be edited.
