Talk:Signature radius

I added a list of the typical signature radii of various ship classes to the page. So you don't wonder where I got them from: I got these from the Crius datadump, taking the average of all the (non-unique, non-AT-prize) ships in a given class, and rounding for legibility.

I also singled out a few notable ship classes, with significantly higher or lower sig radii than similarly-sized ships:

  • T2 logistics cruisers (-40%)
  • Attack BCs (-20%)
  • Blockade runners (-40%)
  • Covert ops frigates (+30%)
  • Recon cruisers (+30%)

My update on 12th Feb 2024 takes data from SDE which I compiled into a Google Sheet here. I took liberties in combining sig radius of Standard/Faction/Precursor ships. Since I decided to crudely use marketGroups as the basis for my query and Super Carriers is not a market group, I had to calculate the difference on the side. The classes in the table could be worth reviewing. (eg. Corvette is missing) -- Biwako Acami (talk) 10:32, 12 February 2024 (UTC)

shield extender signature delta

The signature delta by shield extender size (flat 2m/7m/25m sig increase for small/medium/large) is no longer correct. The relatively new "restrained" meta shield extenders and a couple of the faction and storyline shield extenders have lesser signature changes than other shield extenders for each size. For most unistas, if they are attempting to sig tank, the meta 1 "restrained" shield extenders will be of interest. Those with more isk might consider some of the faction options.
