The Vagabond is a fast and agile cruiser, second in speed only to the [[Cynabal]]. It is bonused for autocannons, which between its velocity and falloff bonuses it has no trouble getting in to range with. The naturally good tracking on autocannons means the vagabond can make short work of frigates as well as cruisers, making the vagabond a popular HAC for solo pvp. The relatively low grid on the Vagabond makes artillery difficult to fit.

Like other Heavy Assault cruisers, the Vagabond has a T2 resist profile and the ability to use an Assault Damage Control for brief spells of very high durability. Balancing out its speed, it is slightly less tough and lighter on base armor and structure hitpoints relative to some other Heavy Assault ships, though it is still very solid relative to cruiser-size hulls in general.
