This might not be the very best way to confirm deaths, but we've been quite successful in the past using this method. Forgeries are almost non-existent, as each tag costs more to manufacture than it's worth on the bounty market. Not only that but we can usually tell a fake apart from a genuine pirate tag. And they have remarkable survivability, usually found in the charred wreckage of the pirate ships despite everything else, including the pirate's corpse, having been completely vaporized.

Mission briefing
Right now I'm looking for 3 x Serpentis Copper Tag. These tags have been implanted into certain pirates which infest Gallente Federation space, which they use to identify each other with. To acquire them you will most likely have to kill them or buy them from someone who did exactly that. I don't really care either way, as long as they have been taken care of I'm satisfied.

You can find the pirates carrying the Serpentis Copper Tag in many places, but I'd first check the asteroid belts in the surrounding systems as attacking defenseless miners is their favorite past-time. Good luck, and have fun.

Your job is to bring the agent the pirate tags that they want. The type and amount of tags vary by agent. The mission can be done only once and can not be retried after failing.

The mission gives faction standing with the faction of the agent. The mission does not give agent standing.

See Data centers for details on locations, agents and required tags.
