Workflow
UniWiki's patch notes are sourced from Patch Note blog posts, then converted using Patch Transformer into MediaWiki format. Before pasting the transformed MediaWiki formatted patch notes, they need to be formatted and the number of {{PatchNoteStatus}} reduce. Each patch note is prefixed by a {{PatchNoteStatus}} state, but some patch notes are connected and don't each need a separate status.
Transform
- Compare the Patch Note blog posts with the contents of UniWiki patch note articles.
- Copy Patch Note blog post HTML as per Patch Transformer instructions.
- Follow Patch Transformer instructions to transform HTML to MediaWiki format.
- Copy transformed patch note from Patch Transformer. Update an UniWiki patch notes article or create a new article as per Editing Guide instructions.
Clean-up
- Analyze the UniWiki patch note article formatting and the quantity of {{PatchNoteStatus}}.
- Format the UniWiki patch note article according to the Editing Guide.
- Remove {{PatchNoteStatus}} that aren't useful or are superfluous.
Integrate
- If {{PatchNoteStatus}} is in To Be Determined - state, read the template's documentation.
- Read the template's documentation about which patch notes are irrelevant.
- To change the {{PatchNoteStatus}} state, read the template's documentation.
- It can be difficult to find the article that should be updated or created to add a patch note's knowledge to the UniWiki.
- Look through the Navbox and Sidebar templates for articles related to the patch note. For example, you can find:
- all ship articles in the Template:ShipsMatrix
- all skill articles in the Template:Skills Links.
- Try searching for articles that contain words related the patch note using the UniWiki search bar.
- If the article doesn't exist, create a new article as per Editing Guide instructions.
- Look through the Navbox and Sidebar templates for articles related to the patch note. For example, you can find:
- To change the {{PatchNoteStatus}} state, read the template's documentation.
- Self-explanatory, this step instructs you to process the next {{PatchNoteStatus}}.
- If {{PatchNoteStatus}} is in To Do - state, read the template's documentation.
- To change the {{PatchNoteStatus}} state, read the template's documentation.
