=== LSC Bookmarking Schema, WHs and Wanderer ===
LSC has two "Shared Locations" (bookmark) folders, to facilitate sharing locations in space between Unistas. They are called:
* "LSC (EVE Uni)", which is open and LSC Community maintained
* "LSC Strategic (EVE Uni)", which is maintained by Management and Directors.
'''Both folders can be found in the Message of the Day (MOTD) upon joining the LSC Standing Fleet and should be onlined.'''
'''<u>IMPORTANT</u>''': All bookmarks will be entered using a 2-day expiry. '''There is no need for "never"'''. It will just clutter the folders.
==== Non-wormhole Cosmic Signatures (Sites) ====
Non-wormhole signatures (Sites) will be entered into the "LSC (EVE Uni)" folder using the following prefixes in front of the default bookmark label:
* C - Combat Sites, Example: C XYZ-123 Minmatar Rendezvous Point
* D - Data Sites, Example:
D XYZ-123 Regional Angel Mainframe
* R - Relic Sites, Example:
R XYZ-123 Decayed Angel Mass Grave

* G - Gas Sites, Exmaple: G XYZ-123 Helix Nebula

* O - Ore Sites, Example: O XYZ-123 Hidden Crokite and Dark Ochre Deposit
Format:
 P XXX-### Default Site Name
(P = prefix, XXX-### = signature code)
* Bookmarks of the type C, D and R go into subfolder "Explo & Combat Sites"
* Bookmark of type G and O go into subfolder "Gas & Ore Sites"
==== Perches and Saves ====
Temp Perches or Saves are placed in the root '''"LSC (EVE Uni)"''' folder, not in subfolders, with a 2-day expiry.
* P - Perch, Example: Perch 1 , Perch 2 - since those are temp, make those read meaningful for the current objective.
* S - Saves, Example:
Save 1, Save 2 - since those are temp, make those read meaningful for the current objective. '''We do recommend to create your own personal Saves in your own personal folder.'''
LSC Operations Note: Even tho a subfolder "Saves" exists, that is a relict and will be cleaned up soon.
==== Wormholes ====
Wormholes will be entered '''<u>by warping to the signature</u>'''. This ensures the exact location of the wormhole when saved. Do not bookmark the signature itself, as it is located some distance from the actual wormhole.
Wormholes are placed in the root '''"LSC (EVE Uni)"''' folder, not in subfolders, with a 2-day expiry, unless the EOL lifetime is <4h and/or mass <10%, than 4h expiry. Keep in mind, Wormholes are shared with all in New Eden, hence they can disappear very quickly, regardless how big or small they have been. Which also means, Wormholes needs to be maintained continuously as new one can appear anytime and always have a probe scanner or filaments with you, when you want to enter them.
'''Note: For wormhole chaining, please read the section about Wanderer, followed down below.'''
===== Outbound Wormholes (away from home) =====
As LSC mainly operates around Isbrabata and its connected systems, "home" in this manner means the actual system you are scanning the wormhole. The nature of wormholes are being a temporary gate to "somewhere else" and so, giving navigation information.

* Use the '''first 3 letters of the current system''' + the '''lowest unused number''' (e.g. <code>.ISB1</code>, <code>.ISB2</code>).
* Add the '''signature code'''. Example: XYZ-123

** C1-6 = Wormhole space (J-Space)
* Add the '''maximum ship size''': XL / L / M / etc.
* Add '''EOL''' if lifetime <4h and/or mass <10%.
** expiry to '''4 hours'''.
===== Inbound Wormholes (back to home) =====
After entering the wormhole, it is strongly recommended to bookmark the destination-side of the wormhole as a way back “home”. Prefix the bookmark with a “star” (*). This places the bookmark near the top of the list in the "Locations" and to indicate that the wormhole is leading towards “home”. Can be thought of like "follow the north star * home".
Format: *SYS# XXX-### DD SS [EOL], Example: *ISB1, *TUR1 EOL, *ISB123 (when you are chaining with mapping in Wanderer together)
* Prefix with an '''asterisk (*)''' to mark inbound. Important, its the life line!
* Use the '''home system code and number''' (e.g. <code>*ISB1</code>, <code>*TUR1</code> or chained e.g.<code>*ISB123</code>, <code>*ISB211</code>)
* Add destination type, ship size, and EOL if applicable.
* '''Signature code is not required'''.
===== LSC Wanderer and mapping =====
LSC uses a tool named "Wanderer", a third-party web WH mapper tool that runs in a browser, https://wanderer.eveuniversity.org/lsc
It supports the visualization of wormhole space (J-Space) and keeping a documentation of wormhole chains. Although it will show all the J-Space systems, it doesn’t know which Wormholes have been used to travel through, which signatures been scanned or what was entered into the "LSC (EVE Uni)" Folder. '''<u>This has to be entered or deleted manually in game and in Wanderer.</u>'''
'''<u>Note</u>:''' LSC operates mainly in LowSec Space and using Wormholes is a great benefit and game expansion, but not mandatory.
When it comes to chaining, numbers help to identify the chain itself and connect the in-game locations in the bookmark folder to the J-Space systems in Wanderer.

This page is specific to EVE University. Other corporations or groups in the game may operate differently.
For a summary of EVE University's rules and code of conduct, see EVE University Rules.

The Low Sec Community is one of several communities within EVE University. What makes this community different is that it focuses on life in Low Security space in New Eden. It is currently located in the Faction Warfare space of Minmatar/Amarr with good connections to the Gallente/Caldari space, Jita/Dodixie, as well as our High-Sec community in Korsiki.

Community Details

LSC Headquarters : Isbrabata VIII - Moon 5 - Republic Security Services Assembly Plant
Clone Bay : Isbrabata VII - Moon 1 - Pator Tech School

Why LSC?

Learn to thrive with enemies at your gate. Take the fights you want, and leave the ones you don't want.

Using Faction Warfare mechanics, you have ample opportunity to learn small ship & small gang PVP in a more controlled environment and without very large fleets

You can also pursue other low-sec activities like

  • Gas Huffing
  • Belt-hunting for clone soldier tags
  • use FW to earn LP points and turn them into items you want or sell them for ISK.
  • and other common PvE activities like Gas and Ore Mining, Exploration or Planetary Industry.

You will learn to evaluate danger, gather piloting experience, and develop your own methods of handling dangerous space; fight, flight, or mitigate. You don't need to bring anything, other than a sense of adventure and a willingness to ask questions.

Service and Activities

Services:

  • Free LSC Flight Deck ships - Gas/Ore Venture - FD Heron Cloak - Entry PVP ships

Activities:

  • Low sec Roams
  • Faction warfare (both Amarr, and Minmatar)
    • FW standing Fleets to make LP
    • FW hunting fleets
    • Satellite/Nomad Offices for a more flexible FW gameplay
  • Organized Gas and Low Sec Ore Mining
  • Exploration training and support with the option to use Turnur and its Wormholes
  • Null Sec roams using Turnur or surrounding Wormholes

The gateway to New Eden

Isbrabata is conveniently located next to Turnur, which is a system with a very high number of Wormhole systems leading to a variety of spaces in EVE. Turnur Wormholes are being mapped by our friends over at EVE Scouts and you can find the Wormholes bookmarked in their public Bookmark Folder. Find more information on the EVE Scout website.

Joining LSC

LSC is open to all members of EVE University, both alpha and omega. There are no titles or skills required to join.

We would strongly encourage you to:

Set up your Overview to the EVE University standard overview

EVE Universities RoE applies EVE University's Rules of Engagement

  • - Uni members should not shoot other Uni members, even if both are in opposing militias and in FW space.
  • - Two exceptions apply:
    • If both sides clearly agree in advance (e.g. for a 1v1 fight) Or
    • if it’s part of a pre-arranged event like Uni Fight Club or a PVP class for example.

Skill recommendations

Living in LowSec means more PvP and that makes communication and individual performance critical. To help every Unista contribute, we've outlined essential skills and ships. Therefore, we drafted up some bare-bone skills and ships which are essential for you and us:

New Players

Follow the EVE University Basic Skill Plan, to be able to board a LSC Flight Deck ship.

  • This will allow you as a very new Player, to train into EVE Universities Flight Deck and beginners Doctrines and lay the foundation for the LSC Skillplan. You can find a first Basic Skill Plan in the EVE University in-game corporation skill plans and read more here Basic Skill Plan .

Be ready for LSC

You already have Skills, just need to check Check the “LSC” Skill Plan to match it

  • in the in-game corp plans for LSC Skillplan.
  • This will allow you, to fly our free LSC Flight Deck ships.

Look further

The Pyramid Skill Plan to build towards specific roles.

  • This will allow you, to look further into e.g. weapons systems, rigging optimization, Tank & Tackle optimization and more Skills, which will support your ships performance and specializing into certain roles/ships.

Travel to LSC

Information: You will get direct access to the general hangar once you have the Student title. In the meantime you can ask others to access the hangar for you
  • You should always use a Shuttle to travel (! DO NOT use Corvettes - those ships are considered new player traps !)
  • Don't be enlisted with a Militia in Faction Warfare. You will appear as a War-Target anywhere while traveling to/from Low Sec Space.
    • CONCORD will not protect you in High-Sec Space.
  • Use GateCampCheck Website and look for any smartbomb kills.
  • Join the LSC Standing Fleet

Pack light and ship the rest

LSC has ships available for members to purchase on contract and stocked flight deck hangars. So do not worry about bringing everything you own when you get started at LSC.

For a new player, a tech 1 PvP ready combat frigate with a micro warp drive is a perfect start for PVP and faction warfare.

Do not haul things yourself as a new player. Make use of the EVE University shipping service to LSC instead. At 500 ISK / m3 it is a very economic way to haul your ships and other stuff to Isbrabata and from Isbrabata to Jita.

Buyback Services in Detail

You got stuff to sell? That is what our Buyback does for you in LSC:

  • Gas - compressed only please
  • LS Ore - compressed only please
  • PI materials - P2 and above
  • Ship remains modules and salvage
  • Exploration loot

Not accepted:

  • abyssal loot
  • ship hulls
  • regular cap charges
  • LP

Faction Warfare - Satellite/Nomad Offices

Faction Warfare can be very dynamic. To have both Militias, Minmatar and Amarr, served from our HQ, with its full services like Buyback, more advanced ships on contract, fleets and other things, it is important to us to keep our HQ in Isbrabata a Frontline System. This is a core task of our Unistas. However, it's Faction Warfare and things can change anytime, which makes actually Faction Warfare a nice territory game.

To enable our Unistas to participate, plan, strategize and fight for their Militias, LSC is maintaining so called Satellite/Nomad Offices. Those will keep the free FD ships in the General Hangar and some FW aimed ships on contracts. This should enable, while Isbrabata is not a Frontline, to dock up in other stations while enlisted and fight their way back to Isbrabata and help turn Isbrabata into to Frontline system again.

While Isbrabata is a Frontline, a minimum stock of ships are kept to be ready. Once the Satellite/Nomad Offices are needed, active restocking of FD ships as well as selected FW ship will take place during the Territory fight, to help our Unistas fight for their Militia. The Offices have a Clone Bay as well. However, the services are kept to a minimum, as the main services are served via our HQ like Buyback operations, fleets etc.

Important: While NOT being enlisted to a Militia, any Unista can dock up in Isbrabata, while its not a Frontline.

Satellite/Nomad Offices

  • Minmatar Office: Auner VI - Tribal Liberation Force Logistic Support
  • Amarr Office: Houla - Freeport Manufacturing Nexus

As well as an office for more strategic operations, serving both Militias. Depends how the map looks like ;)

  • Minmatar/Amarr Office: Dal I - Tribal Liberation Force Logistic Support

Go, fight for your Militia and team up with other Unistas!...and turn Isbrabata into a Frontline again :D

LSC Communication and Community Protocols

LSC has various places to exchange information in different shapes or forms. This section discripes them from in-game chat till bookmarking and the tool Wanderer. It is important to follow those, as this gives information and helps Unistas in LSC to "live" and play together.

Ship Naming Schema

LSC follows a ship naming scheme to help identify friendly ships on d-scan.

  • The format is 3 letters that represent your LSC main followed by 3 numbers that add up to 13. After this you can add any personal additions of your choice.
  • Example: The LSC Main "Johnny" chooses JOH for their 3 letters. They name their ship "JOH 733 Pew". The numbers are not specific to a pilot/ship/main/etc.
  • Alts should use the same 3 letters as the main character.

LSC Bookmarking Schema, WHs and Wanderer

LSC has two "Shared Locations" (bookmark) folders, to facilitate sharing locations in space between Unistas. They are called:

  • "LSC (EVE Uni)", which is open and LSC Community maintained
  • "LSC Strategic (EVE Uni)", which is maintained by Management and Directors.

Both folders can be found in the Message of the Day (MOTD) upon joining the LSC Standing Fleet and should be onlined.

IMPORTANT: All bookmarks will be entered using a 2-day expiry. There is no need for "never". It will just clutter the folders.

Non-wormhole Cosmic Signatures (Sites)

Non-wormhole signatures (Sites) will be entered into the "LSC (EVE Uni)" folder using the following prefixes in front of the default bookmark label:

  • C - Combat Sites, Example: C XYZ-123 Minmatar Rendezvous Point
  • D - Data Sites, Example:
D XYZ-123 Regional Angel Mainframe
  • R - Relic Sites, Example:
R XYZ-123 Decayed Angel Mass Grave

  • G - Gas Sites, Exmaple: G XYZ-123 Helix Nebula

  • O - Ore Sites, Example: O XYZ-123 Hidden Crokite and Dark Ochre Deposit

Format:
 P XXX-### Default Site Name
(P = prefix, XXX-### = signature code)

  • Bookmarks of the type C, D and R go into subfolder "Explo & Combat Sites"
  • Bookmark of type G and O go into subfolder "Gas & Ore Sites"

Perches and Saves

Temp Perches or Saves are placed in the root "LSC (EVE Uni)" folder, not in subfolders, with a 2-day expiry.

  • P - Perch, Example: Perch 1 , Perch 2 - since those are temp, make those read meaningful for the current objective.
  • S - Saves, Example:
Save 1, Save 2 - since those are temp, make those read meaningful for the current objective. We do recommend to create your own personal Saves in your own personal folder.

LSC Operations Note: Even tho a subfolder "Saves" exists, that is a relict and will be cleaned up soon.

Wormholes

Wormholes will be entered by warping to the signature. This ensures the exact location of the wormhole when saved. Do not bookmark the signature itself, as it is located some distance from the actual wormhole.

Wormholes are placed in the root "LSC (EVE Uni)" folder, not in subfolders, with a 2-day expiry, unless the EOL lifetime is <4h and/or mass <10%, than 4h expiry. Keep in mind, Wormholes are shared with all in New Eden, hence they can disappear very quickly, regardless how big or small they have been. Which also means, Wormholes needs to be maintained continuously as new one can appear anytime and always have a probe scanner or filaments with you, when you want to enter them.

Note: For wormhole chaining, please read the section about Wanderer, followed down below.

Outbound Wormholes (away from home)

As LSC mainly operates around Isbrabata and its connected systems, "home" in this manner means the actual system you are scanning the wormhole. The nature of wormholes are being a temporary gate to "somewhere else" and so, giving navigation information.

Format: .SYS# XXX-### DD SS (EOL),

Example: .ISB1 XYZ-123 NS , .ISB2 XYQ-123 LS L EOL , .ISB123 XYW-123 C3 (when you are chaining with mapping in Wanderer together)

  • Prefix with a dot (.) to sort to the top in the "Locations" seen and mark outbound.
  • Use the first 3 letters of the current system + the lowest unused number (e.g. .ISB1, .ISB2).
  • Add the signature code. Example: XYZ-123
  • To know where this Wormhole leads to, add the destination type:
    • HS = High Sec
    • LS = Low Sec
    • NS = Null Sec
    • TR = Triglivian Space (Pochven)
    • C1-6 = Wormhole space (J-Space)
  • Add the maximum ship size: XL / L / M / etc.
  • Add EOL if lifetime <4h and/or mass <10%.
    • expiry to 4 hours.

Inbound Wormholes (back to home)

After entering the wormhole, it is strongly recommended to bookmark the destination-side of the wormhole as a way back “home”. Prefix the bookmark with a “star” (*). This places the bookmark near the top of the list in the "Locations" and to indicate that the wormhole is leading towards “home”. Can be thought of like "follow the north star * home".

Format: *SYS# XXX-### DD SS [EOL], Example: *ISB1, *TUR1 EOL, *ISB123 (when you are chaining with mapping in Wanderer together)

  • Prefix with an asterisk (*) to mark inbound. Important, its the life line!
  • Use the home system code and number (e.g. *ISB1, *TUR1 or chained e.g.*ISB123, *ISB211)
  • Add destination type, ship size, and EOL if applicable.
  • Signature code is not required.

LSC Wanderer and mapping

LSC uses a tool named "Wanderer", a third-party web WH mapper tool that runs in a browser, https://wanderer.eveuniversity.org/lsc

It supports the visualization of wormhole space (J-Space) and keeping a documentation of wormhole chains. Although it will show all the J-Space systems, it doesn’t know which Wormholes have been used to travel through, which signatures been scanned or what was entered into the "LSC (EVE Uni)" Folder. This has to be entered or deleted manually in game and in Wanderer.

Note: LSC operates mainly in LowSec Space and using Wormholes is a great benefit and game expansion, but not mandatory.

When it comes to chaining, numbers help to identify the chain itself and connect the in-game locations in the bookmark folder to the J-Space systems in Wanderer.

Away from home example out of this right picture:

  1. jump: .TUR1 XYZ-123 M C2
  2. jump: .TUR13 XYC-234 C3
  3. jump: .TUR133 XYZ-345 HS

Back to home example out of this right picture:

  1. jump: *TUR133
  2. jump: *TUR13
  3. jump: *TUR1 M , welcome back home

IMPORTANT: When chains are build up, make sure you put the numbers into Wanderer as well.

When chains are gone, delete the bookmarks if applicable and delete the systems/chains in Wanderer.
