Summary

Geekusoid is a retired ILN Admiral and former head of the famed Battlegroup 1, more commonly known as the "Black Sheep".

Biography

Geekusoid first was resurrected under a Caldari Navy initiative in the Caldari - Gallente war on 2009.01.31. Initially he was stationed with the State War academy, but due to his lack of participation in studies he was assigned to the Captain Morgan Alliance (a Caldari mining operation) to learn how to follow orders and grow accustomed to his new environment. He remained with the Captain Morgan Alliance until 2009.7.09.

Eve University

On 2009.07.09, Geekusoid was accepted into the famed Eve University training school located in Korsiki, The Forge at the time. Also at the time, the university was in a state of war with a group known as IDLE Empire. Little did he know it, but he had just missed the defense and subsequent loss of the University POS (player owned station) in the war.

Having tasted real combat for the first time during the end of this campaign, Geekusoid decided to volunteer for the Ivy League Navy, the University's military branch, and serve what would end up being an extended tour of duty. Geekusoid graduated with honors from the University within the year, having survived numerous military campaigns and class lectures.

Ivy League Navy

The majority of time spent in the University was spent as an offier in the ILN (Ivy League Navy). At the time the ILN was divided into three Battlegroups based on timezone settings. Initially he was accepted into Battlegroup 3 under guidance of Qato Vollan. Two weeks in he realized he was spending more time flying with members of Battlegroup 1, a group he would come to embody and lead. Geekusoid transferred to Battlegroup 1 as an Ensign, then under command of a Captain Zealotk, a fine leader and friend. Much was learned in the art of PvP while a junior officer in BG1 and much admiration was given to their ability to kill/capture targets at a moments notice. Some noteworthy pilots whom Geekusoid was known to admire and learn from were: Silentbrick, Aquadictus, Colubridae, Cerranor and Galen Case.

As pilots would come and go with their tours completing, Geekusoid was plucked for his organizational skill and knack for leadership. While still not the best overall fleet commander, he rose up the ranks in BG1 until an unfortunate timing forced the resignation of Captain Zealotk whom promptly named Geekusoid as his successor. This move and show of trust pushed Geekusoid to the rank of Captain. At this position he would reshape the "Black Sheep" into a fiercer fighting force which would include future officers such as: Kaykwok (Captain) and Croixant (Admiral).

While in the role of Captain, Geekusoid pushed the use of F.O.B's (Forward Operation Bases) during wartime and worked extensively with the leaders of Battlegroups 2 and 3 in re-vamping various projects such as the Planetary Moon survey and Covops "Sneakie" certification training. In 2010, Geekusoid was promoted to Rear Admiral (Commodore) by Admiral Smurfprime to assist in battlegroup coordination. He would hold this position until going AWOL in 2011.

Departure

Due to circumstances outside of his control, Geekusoid removed himself from activity and was subsequently removed from the University on 2011.10.30, where he would spend the next 23 months working security for a Minmatar mining outfit.

Return

Geekusoid was re-admitted to the university as an Alumni on 2013.9.28 and would serve again until early 2014 when he entered full retirement.
