The contract owner will be part of a corporation or alliance that owns at least one structure, and that structure's access will generally be restricted to only members of that group. Because there is not currently a convenient method of verifying whether a pilot has access to a structure, a player who accepts this contract will be unable to complete the delivery, and the scammer will make a profit on the cost of the cargo due to the large collateral. | The contract owner will be part of a corporation or alliance that owns at least one structure, and that structure's access will generally be restricted to only members of that group. Since October 2018 update all Upwell Structures (currently Citadels, Engineering Complexes and Refineries) have a drop box which anybody can use to transfer items from his ship's cargohold to the Upwell structure (but not back) - regardless of access rights. So this kind of scam will not work any more with Upwell structures and will not work at all after POSes are finally phased out. | Since October 2018 update all Upwell Structures (currently Citadels, Engineering Complexes and Refineries) have a drop box which anybody can use to transfer items from his ship's cargohold to the Upwell structure (but not back) - regardless of access rights.
