Different damage types in part 1
Hi. This would be my first contribution but i'm not sure if the page is following a different standard for deciding on "best damage to deal" and "best damage to defend against".
Contrary to what it says on the page, the rats in Part 1 mostly deal Explosive/Thermal, and they're most vulnerable to Thermal/Kinetic.
- Hi, and welcome to the wiki.
- First of, the three parts of this mission chain are transcluded into this overall article which means that if editing is required it needs to be done at the separate part articles. For part 1 that is here: Technological Secrets (Level 3) (1 of 3). Second it is good form to add a heading to topics on a talk page and to sign your contribution. This can be done by entering 4x ~ (~~~~) which the editor will automatically expand to username and timestamp
- And now the meat of the question: When adding the opposing faction default damages are added based on the faction (So if the editor did not pay much attention to the damages that occurred, and thus saw no need to overrule the default the results ma by "off"). Every now and then some "non-standard" damages will occur. The {{Missiondetails}} template has parameters for that. In this case that would be "DamageToDeal1=" and "DamageToResist1=". Another point to watch for is that some missions come in variants regarding which faction you are up to (different faction leads to different damage) so make sure that you got the same faction opponent as reported here. Making things more complicated if there is another faction, is that when there are variants they each have there own article and in that case instead of editing the existing article a new one would need to be written. -- Evon R'all (talk) 12:58, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
