Harvester fleets
Harvester fleets are PvE combat fleets run in C3 wormholes. Most of the content on this wiki page is from a post by Narthe Raytei[1] on the WHC forums, which itself references a C3 WH blitz concept from another site. There are also segments from an event post on the HSC forums by Ringo Degu[2].
What is it?
- This a very quick way of running C3 sites. Quick, efficient, and fun.
- This post is an update to an old original concept[3] for current times, prices, and patches.
Why is it?
Currently running sites is a mixture of kitchen sink armour or solo site running. What this aims to do is bring people together and clear sites faster for everyone whilst maintaining a profitable experience using disposable ships. Another reason for this setup is to increase inclusivity for the campus, allowing anyone to jump in and get involved.
Things to remember
- Bring MTUs
- Don't shoot sentries (they give no loot and you can rep them easily)
- Listen to the FC
- Pay attention to D-scan
- Watch for fresh signatures
Roles
- Guns: Gunbro pilots sit still and fire on the Sleeper cruisers and battlecruisers while minding triggers.
- Swatters: Each harvester fleet only needs one swatter pilot, who kills everything out of the gunbros' reach (like frigates and cruisers) while paying attention to triggers. Make sure you keep transversal up on the battleships.
- Logis: The solo Scythe is used for anomalies (green/blue sites), and the Osprey pair is used for data/relic sites (but it can also be used for anomalies). You need to remember to never run both onboard and outboard reps at the same time and to keep yourself moving with the AB on. Drones are a must for both ships (level 1 minimum, level 3 recommended).
