It seems like you often have to save a template, rather than simply relying on the preview.

My arguments against deletion of this page in no particular order:
- When modifying an existing template it is a good idea to not do that in production.
- It can be handy to have a place where you can do some template experimentation without making unnecessary template pages.
- Not really an argument against, but maybe the purpose should be clearer if this one was named something like Sandbox, conform the "play" area for content pages.

- You can build a templates on your own sandbox pages. For example I could make the template on User:Hirmuolio_Pine/sandbox3 and then use it on User:Hirmuolio_Pine/sandbox4 with the normal template syntax {{User:Hirmuolio_Pine/sandbox3}}. Hirmuolio Pine (talk) 14:27, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, absolutely true. With one exception when calling this template you have to add the namespace, as you have done in your example. Unlike with a template in the template namespace where you can omit the namespace Not a huge problem but you have to remember. Evon R'al (talk) 16:26, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
