The following is a guide on Locator Agents; what they are, how you use them, and where you can find them

I. What are Locator Agents
Locator agents are regular NPC agents that offer the special service to locate another player character.
- You can find locator agents via: [1] check the box "Location Service"
- You need the standings to access the agent to use its location service
- The target won't get any notification that he has been located
- The range of the locator agent in which he is able to detect players depends on its level
- The cost of the detection as well as the time it takes the locator to find the target depends on the location of the target (same solar system/constellation/region/other region)
- Afterwards they cannot be used for some time (the time to reuse depends on the level of the agent as well as its quality (Not sure if your standing affects costs/time to reuse/time to run).

[All locator agents of the same level will have the same stats, since agent quality no longer exists. Time to run and costs are for target in: solar system/constellation/region/everywhere]
II. How do you use Locator Agents
- When you talk to the locator agent, you will have a button to locate a character besides the request mission button.
- You have to type in the name of the character and the locator agent will give you a quote how much it will cost (Note that the lower the price the closer the target player is to your location, so you can determine without paying money whether the target is in another region, just another constellation or in your system [if you missed that kind of information, I doubt you will keep the ship you are flying for long :)]).
- The locator agent will then run its location service which will take a couple of minutes, depending on its level (the higher the level the faster he runs).
- Once done the locator agent will send you a Notification with the location of the target of where the character was when you started the search which will include the system, constellation and region as well as the station the player might be docked at (Note that you see that the target is in space when there is no station). E.g. "The sleazebag is currently in the Bukah system, Nohshayess constellation of the Khanid region."
III. How to make a useful list of where your agents are
1 ) Open the page http://eve-agents.com/ in the in-game browser and search using: Corporation: A corp that you mission for often and have good standings with Locator Agent: Yes Sort Result: Required Standings - Descending
2 ) Open People and Places and switch to the Places tab and set Search Type to Station
3 ) Scroll down until you reach agents that require less than your standing with that corp. For each agent that you have standings with, enter the first few letters of their system into the People and Places search box.
4 ) From the People and Places search result, find the station that matches your agent and right click -> Bookmark location... Name your bookmark something like 'Loc: L4 P7M7 MMC' (the level 4 MMC locator in aldrat)
Loc: allows you to easily fix your folders if you ever reinstall (bookmarks are stored on server, folders on your machine) L4 lists what level a locator he is P7M7 MMC details the station Bookmarks are already listed by system and region, so you dont need to add this information
5 ) Repeat for each agent in the search result that you have access to until you reach the level 2 agents as we're less interested in those.
6 ) Repeat the search for each corp you have good standings with
7 ) If you have faction standings above 3.0 for any faction, you may have a host of agents you never knew about. For faction searches: Leave Corporation blank Faction: The faction you have good standings with Level: 3 (This will return just the level 3 agents so we dont hit the 100 result limit; Repeat with 4 if needed) Locator Agent: Yes Sort Result: Required Standings - Descending
8 ) Add any addition agents you find unless they belong to "Khanid Innovation" or "Wiyrkomi Peace Corps". These are the Uni's jump clone corporations and speaking to agents from these corps will likely get you removed from the uni until you build your standings with them above 8.
9 ) Finally make a bookmark folder and put all of your locator agent bookmarks into it. You can now sort that list by jumps whenever you need a locator agent and you will know exactly how far it is to your nearest agent, where he is and how good he is.
