|info=The Procurer is the smallest and cheapest of the mining barges, and is often skipped in favour of the Retriever when training though the barges, due to the Retriever's relatively low additional training time and the Procurer's low advantage over a mining cruiser. For those who love the strip miner's 3min cycles, aren't training for mining cruisers, or just like how damn cute it looks, though, the Procurer can be a worthy ship to fly.

|notes=It's a tight squeeze to fit the Mining Upgrade here with Electronics IV. This is a good opportunity to train up some decent drone skills, especially if you want to take on the rats in 0.5 or 0.6 space, to make up for the relative lack of tank on this fit.

The ORE Basic Ship and Skill Guide is intended to give basic ship fitting advice and skill recommendations for ORE ships. For more indepth discussion of the purpose and use of some specific ORE ships, please see the Mining Ships and Orca pages.

Skills

Required skills for ORE ships vary depending on the ship class. All mining-related ships require Mining Barge and Astrogeology to some level, though, and the Orca and Rorqual require leadership skills in order to give bonuses. The Primae does not require any skills to pilot, but the Noctis will require a new skill: ORE Industrial, which, at this time, is planned to only be seeded in ORE nullsec regions.

Mining Barges

Mining barges are the first level of ORE mining ships, and follow a natural progression from Procurer to Covetor. Mining Barges require various levels of Science Astrogeology and Spaceship Command Mining Barge to pilot. The fits given will try to fit Mining Upgrades where possible; you can replace these with Expanded Cargoholds depending on preference. Also, Warrior drones will be used, since Aldrat's local rats are Angels. You will probably want to swap these for Hobgoblins in other regions.

Exhumers

Exhumers are the T2 versions of Mining Barges. However, only the Hulk is a direct upgrade from a Mining Barge; the Skiff and Mackinaw serve specialized purposes. Exhumers all require various level of the Spaceship Command Exhumers skill to operate.
