Sick and tired of War Targets ganking you in High Sec? Want to learn to fight back? Want to feel your hand shaking as you deliver the killing blow to a worthy foe with your own ship inches from destruction? Welcome to Low Sec Campus. Where legends are born. Then killed. Repeatedly.

Unfortunately, learning to PvP means losing ships. Lots of ships. And even T1 frigates can start draining your funds as a new player. Therefore I would like to offer some help:
 +
Low Sec Campus Welcome packs
 +
Ummm what?
 +
I will provide one pack of 5 free fully fitted PvP frigates to any new member of Low Sec Campus.
 +
These frigates will be fitted specifically for solo and small group PvP. They are designed to give you a fighting chance of competing in the PvP areas of low sec space, but also don’t worry if you blow them all up within a week. The point is to use these ships to gain experience you can use to keep your own ships alive longer. And to addict you to the thrill of PvP.
 +
What KIND of ships?
 +
There will be 3 types of pack available:
 +
Racial Alpha Pack – These ships can be flown competitively by day 1 Alpha clones, although they will definitely benefit from additional training
 +
Racial Omega Pack – Tech 2 fitted versions of the above
 +
Racial Transition Pack – 2x Alpha fits, and 3x Omega fits, for those Omegas who don’t quite have skills for Tech 2 weapons yet but want to fly something while they train
 +
SHUT UP AND GIVE ME FREE STUFF
 +
Post in the thread below, stating your preferred pack type, and race, and I will contract the ships to you in Uphallant (Low Sec Campus HQ)
 +
** Note 1: If you’re competing in the Razha’s Roughnecks event, these ships should hopefully be ideal for this
 +
**Note 2: While these fits are definitely designed to be viable for PvP, they are NOT uber-mega-meta-breaking fits. They can be improved and tailored to your skills, and I encourage you to do so once you start getting to grips with PvP**

Message 2: FAQ
 +
1. I am a newbie who joined low-sec campus a week ago – can I still have a pack?
 +
Yes. The aim here is just to help anyone who wants to learn to PvP, and plus I have no way of telling how long you’ve been in LSC
 +
2. I am a Sophomore with 300 kills to my name - can I still have a pack?
 +
 +
I mean, I’m not setting any real restrictions here, if you ask for it, I’ll give it to you, but use your discretion. If you take a pack that you can easily afford yourself, you’re just taking it away from a newbie who needs it more. Don’t be that guy.
 +
 +
3. Can I have the ships contracted to Stacmon instead?
 +
 +
No. When I pitched this idea to management this was one thing they were clear on, and on reflection I agree. LSC is about learning to live in Low Sec. Basing your ships from Stacmon is not really in the spirit of this.
 +
 +
4. I’m an Omega – can I mix and match the racial frigates?
 +
No. This is more for me and making my logistics planning a bit easier. Also, this will help you learn to fly one ship well rather than constantly changing ship
 +
5. How long is this going on for?
 +
Not sure. I have an initial budget for this of 1bn ISK, but there is more available if demand is high.
 +
6. How do I PvP?
 +
Join LSC Chat/Mumble, and ask around. There are a lot of very experienced (not me) and very friendly (possibly me depending on the time of day) pilots out there who are happy to help out, or group up with you to show you around

Caldari – Brawling Kestrel (Shield Tank, Rockets) – Scram & Web then orbit at 500. You can shoot out to 9k with rockets if necessary, but you will struggle to apply damage to a fast moving kiting target. You do better up close, and PvP is all about learning to control range.
 +
Gallente – Brawling Tristan (Armor Tank, Drones and Hybrid Guns) - Scram & Web then orbit at 500. Your drones can hit at much higher ranges if necessary, but you’ll lose the DPS from your blasters.
 +
Amarr – Brawling Tormentor (Armor Tank, Pulse Lasers and Drones) - Scram & Web then orbit at 500. If they manage to pull range on you, your lasers can punch out to 5k but you’ll lose DPS with the fall-off. Your capacitor will be limited with low skills, so be selective with using your afterburner and web once you’re in close.
 +
Minmatar – Scram-Kite Breacher (Dual-Tank, Rockets and Drones) – You’ll want to orbit at around 7k (edge of scram range) and make sure brawlers like the ones above don’t close you down. You can’t run the shield booster and armor rep at the same time, so be selective and only switch to armor rep once your shield goes down.

Hi! Just wanted to say that I made a few small changes to the T1 paragraph of Hauling to better (IMO) present the information. I know that you're also working on that page, I hope I didn't step on your toes! :) – Noemie Belacqua 05:33, 14 December 2016 (CST)
