Contested Gallentean Canyon of Rust is an Gallente COSMOS site in Alsottobier system in Algintal constellation. It is farmed very heavily.

This site is rumored to respawn four times a day and contain overseers that can drop faction modules and Gistii A-Type modules. This may not be true anymore.

The warpin contains only an Ancient acceleration gate to Wiyrkomi Engineering Outpost.

The maximum size Ship that can be used to enter the acceleration gate is a battlecruiser-size ship.

Wiyrkomi Engineering Outpost

The Wyirkomi Engineering Outpost is a popular maintainance stopover for Caldari figthers, traders and haulers. The Rust Canyon's draws its name from the first deadspace pocket. Its incredible scenery and comfort of some old Gallente luxury recreational facilities encourage pilots to spend more time than they absolutely need in here. And the same goes for their hard earned ISK.

This pocket contains few structures and an acceleration gate to Infested Comet Remains (90 km). The Algintal Luxury Resort drops commodity drugs (Drop, Mindflood, Sooth sayer).

There are rumors of a overseer ship "Wiyrkomi Head Engineer" that can drop shadow serpentis items. I have encountered this enemy, but not received Shadow Serpentis items; only overseer's effects.

Infested Comet Remains

The Gallente meant to build a major outpost in the remains of a deep-space comet that had collided with an unknown object. Unfortunately it got overrun by rogue drones before it was finished and then Core Serpentis smugglers have made their home close by. The rogue drones seem to leave them in peace, probably as they benefit each other for the time being.

This pocket contains drone infested asteroids and serpentis structures. Gate to next room is 20 km from warpin.

The rats in this room are rumored to respawn every three hours. I have encountered The Negotiator recently(September 2023), but the negotiator only dropped 8th Tier overseer's personal effects.

Negotiator point is unconfirmed.

The Core Serpentis deadspace pirates run distribution operations from this unusual location. Only three years ago they ousted the last remaining Gallente businessmen from this poorly defended deadspace pocket and overtook the harvesting of the super-hot gas concentrations. During their retreat the Gallenteans blew up the most valuable structure which was the control mechanism to an Ancient Accleration Gate to an unknown fourth pocket in the Canyon of Rust. Unconfirmed reports claim that the fourth and last pocket contained unusally massive concentrations of Arkonor but unfortunately the Gallenteans have not been heard from since.

The Core Serpentis structure is often destroyed within a minute after its respawn. It respawns every 5 hours.
