Alpha PI FAQ ( clarification )
I don't know if this should be added as a footnote or a special caveat to the FAQ. The question is; Can an alpha account participate in PI? The answer given is a flat no. Recently one of my omega accounts reverted to alpha and I am still collecting, in full control of all planets, and no power restrictions. What has shutdown is the import/export and scanning skill. This means an alpha player is allowed to still manage the planets until they need to export or scan again. At that point, they need omega time once again.
How I think this question needs to be rephrased.

There is no need to edit the answer to this question.
* Q: Can an alpha account ( formerly omega ) work in PI?
::A: Yes. Until the account returns to omega status, it will not be able to import or export goods, and scanning skills will no longer function. The alpha can deploy, decommission, start, and stop structures. The former omega can manage storage, and expedite on all their planets. Extractors and factories continue function as long as there is available storage space.

An Alpha account can still deploy, decommission, start, and stop structures; manage storage; and expedite production on all planets.
